The original site for the park was purchased in 1973, and at the time only about 10% (90 acres) of the area was in its natural state. This January, Palm Beach Gardens is hosting their first Annual Gardens 5K Trailblazer walk and run. All are welcomed to join in on the family friendly designated 5K.

The 5K will be taking place on Saturday, January 11th at the new Gardens North County District Park on 117th Court North in Palm Beach Gardens. Those who participate in the 5k or 3.1 mile walk or run will be on paved surface as well as a two mile unpaved surface through the scenic nature trail. The 5K consists of both male and female age groups ranging from ages 5 and up.

After the 5K, all are invited to join in on a Public Safety Day from 10 am to 1 pm. The Public Safety Day will include live demonstrations and activities hosted by the City of Palm Beach Gardens Fire and Police Departments.

This Thursday join in on the Culture of Change Yoga Class with Jennifer Martin in downtown West Palm Beach.

The monthly series of wellness classes were launched in January 2019 and the goal was to help bring the community together to support a great cause. Every month there is a different theme and community partner change.

The outdoor Yoga class is Thursday, December 12th at 7 pm. The class is taught every month by Jennifer Martin and runs approximately 75 minutes long. The month of December is about the holidays and this month’s cause is helping to support the WPTV’s Toy Drive located on the Square.

Head to the Royal Poinciana Plaza on Saturday mornings for their Weekend Wellness Series. Every Saturday throughout the year, the luxury shopping and dining center in Palm Beach hosts different fitness classes outside.

Every week the fitness classes rotate and there is a different class or type of fitness every week. The fitness classes are free and take place in the Plaza’s west courtyard. In addition to the fitness classes, there is also special discounts on breakfast at Sant Ambroeus, 20% off at Celis Produce Juice Bar and Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D wellness shots done by MDBeauty Labs.

Rosemary Square, formally CityPlace in West Palm Beach hosts a weekly wellness class on Wednesday evening’s once a month.

The fitness class is free and all are welcomed to attend. Come and channel your inner drummer for the Drum Fit workout class. Drum Fit classes are part of the new fitness craze and the class mixes movement and music together for the perfect workout. The class is led by Alina Orenstein at Pound.

The class is a drumming exercise class that uses weighted drumsticks designed to transform drumming into a body interval and fat burning workout. If you plan on attending the class, you are asked to bring a mat, towel and water to the class.

Come and enjoy the serenity of Yoga on the Beach while listening to the sounds of the ocean’s waves.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting a Deep Blue Yoga class on Saturday, October 19th following their Beach Clean Up. The yoga event is designed for all levels of yoga and all are encouraged to attend.

The Yoga class begins at 10 am and goes until 10:45 am and is free to attend. Donations are appreciated and will be donated and used towards the sea turtle conservation and awareness.
