Thanksgiving gatherings in South Florida may be different than in other parts of the United States just in part due to the glorious weather!  Bright skies, pleasant climate, and cool breezes are easy justifications to stay out of the kitchen and go outside with visiting family and friends.

Make time for a round of golf at one of the many signature golf courses in the Jupiter area. Have a smashing tennis match or leisurely day at the beach with guests by simplifying the Thanksgiving menu just a smidge. Merely prepare some things in advance.  While the turkey is roasting away in the oven, nibble on a couple of The Food Network elegant light bites and reminisce on all the over all the things for which you are grateful.

Date night in Palm Beach should be very simple.  There are exquisite restaurants with Michelin rated chefs all over the island. Like most people, free time is tight and sometimes rushed or shoved to the back burner.  Having some adult time is essential for maintaining a healthy relationship. So even if you only get a few free hours together it is important to leave the house and enjoy it.  Make sure to choose some of the best places for date night in Palm Beach.

What makes those nights stand out from the others?  Generally, it is a combination of things. The energy of the place, not sure how to describe it, but it is something that you feel as soon as you walk in. It can be the most beautiful restaurant, but if the energy is not right, you simply…

On Saturday mornings throughout the year, The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a Self-Guided Beach Cleanup. Every weekend, volunteers head to the beach to participate in helping to keep our local beaches and ocean clean from debris and trash.

The Self-Guided Beach Cleanup is a new program this year that has been added weekly to their event calendar. Those who wish to participate are asked to stop by the Marine Debris Sorting Station on the back deck of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to pick up your beach cleanup supplies. Once supplies picked up, volunteers can make their way down to the beach to begin. When finished, simply bring your trash bag back to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and pick up a free t-shirt as a Thank You for helping gift.
