With visitors still in town for the holidays, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their popular events this week to end the year. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is dedicated to helping protect the ocean, marine life and injured and endangered sea turtles through their rehabilitation center and research programs.

Public Guided Tours
Public Guided Tours are offered twice a day at 12 pm and then again at 2 pm. Those who attend will get an up-close look at the outdoor sea turtle hospital and get to see the sea turtles housed at the center. Say hello to the newest member of the Waterfront family, “Topsy”! As a very thoughtful holiday thank you gift, our gracious friends from A1 Moving & Storage have adopted her in our name! Topsy is a green sea turtle receiving care at our beloved Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach after being rescued by the Coast Guard. She came in with unintentional boat strike injuries to the carapace which caused a systemic infection, hypoglycemia, and inability to dive and stay underwater. Her white blood cell count has increased and has been monitored closely since arrival, and she has gone through various surgeries and procedures to repair her carapace using implants.
