About Okeeheelee

The original site for the park was purchased in 1973, and at the time only about 10% (90 acres) of the area was in its natural state. It encompasses two lakes; with access for boating, fishing, water skiing, and radio-controlled boating, the park also has tennis courts, a playground, and a dog park called “Pooch Pines.”

At the north end of the park, situated on the original 90 acres of original natural habitat, is the Okeeheelee Nature Center consists of more than 2 miles of trails, which travel through the Pine Flatwoods habitat.…

Riverbend Park is a 680-acre preserve in Jupiter and is an ideal destination for hikers who want a taste of the wilds of Southeast Florida without getting their feet wet. More than 15 miles of interconnected trails and roads make up the trail network. The hiking trails are engineered, broad walkways of compacted limestone. Signage and kiosks make it nearly impossible to get lost. It’s nature, tamed, making it accessible to city dwellers who’d otherwise never take a hike.

Admirals Cove already has a laundry list of prestigious golf tournaments that it has hosted over the years. Come May, it will have another one to add to its list.

Recently the Florida State Golf Association (FSGA), announced that it would be holding its Mid-Amateur Championship at Admirals Cove May 14-17, 2020. The event will consist of the 84 golfers that advanced out of the qualifying stages. 36 holes of stroke play will be played over the first two days with the top 32 after stroke play advancing to the match-play portion of the championship.

Registration for the Mid-Am Championship opens on January 15th and goes until April 15th. Any male golfer 25 years of age or older with a registered Florida GHIN handicap of 7 or below is eligible to…
