Beginning on the first of April 2021 stand up paddle boarding will be offered at MacArthur Beach State Park, 10900 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach.  The paddle boards and instruction will be provided by High Point Paddle Adventures at MacBeach. Depending on the season, you may see wildlife including manatees, dolphins, mullet, snook rays and a variety of birds. The Sea Turtle Nesting Season has officially begun in South Florida. Researchers at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center have begun keeping an eye for the return of sea turtles nesting along the beaches in Northern Palm Beach County. The center has kicked off its “Respect the Locals” awareness campaign for beachgoers to be on the lookout for sea turtle nests.

Between March 1st and October 31st, sea turtle nest along the sandy 9.5 miles of beach that the Loggerhead Marinelife Center monitors. The 9.5 miles span between the northern Palm Beach County line to the northern boundary of John D. The Society of the Four Arts,  2 Four Arts Plaza, Palm Beach is presenting Dale Chihuly, an American artist. Lighthouse Sunset Tour: Wednesday, March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st  

On Wednesday evenings during the month, the lighthouse hosts their reoccurring and popular Lighthouse Sunset Tour. The tour allows visitors to climb to the top of the Lighthouse and take in the incredible sunset views. During the tour, visitors will get a chance to see the Lighthouse Watchroom and even watch the light turn on for the night. The tours last one hour and reservations are required due to space.

This upcoming weekend, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their second annual Hike 2O event. Gather your friends and hiking gear and join in on the weekend of fun.

Hike 2O is a three-day, two-night event in the back country that is being held this Friday through Sunday. Hikers will join trail experts from the Florida Trail Association- Loxahatchee Chapter and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff biologists as they are guided through some of South Florida’s most iconic ecosystems.

The three-day hike is not an easy undertaking. Campsites, weather, and trail conditions can make this hiking event even more challenging. Prior hiking experience is recommended but all are welcomed to take on the challenge. New this year, the event will also…
