The 2015-2016 PGA Tour schedule has been announced, and as expected there are some big changes to next year's schedule. 
With 2016 being a Ryder Cup year, in addition to the return of golf to the Olympics, the schedule will look considerably different in certain parts.

One thing that won't look any different, is the PGA Tour's annual stop in Florida for the Florida Swing. 

The Honda Classic at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens will once again kick off the Florida Swing. The West Palm Beach TV market had the highest numbers for any market in the United States for the 2015 Open Championship.

Despite the Open Championship being aired on cable on ESPN, the 39th TV market in the country posted a 2.9 rating, two tenths of a point higher than the second rated market, Louisville, KY (2.7).

Nationally, ESPN had a 1.4 overall U.S. rating, which was up 24% from 2014 when Palm Beach Gardens resident Rory Mcllroy won by two shots over Rickie Fowler and Sergio Garcia.

The College of Golf is moving its facility from Port St. Lucie to West Palm Beach.

The Keiser University run College of Golf and Sports Management will move this fall to the newly acquired Keiser University complex on Military Trail in West Palm that was formerly the campus of Northwood University.

With it will come the 400 students that come from all over the world for the program.

“I met a Korean student five years ago who is coming next spring and bringing six friends with her,” longtime instructor Donna Horton White said to the Palm Beach Post. “We also have people coming from China, South America, Puerto Rico and Poland.”

Around 6am ET on Monday morning, Rory Mcllroy posted a picture to his Instagram in a walking boot and on crutches. The post had a caption that said “Total rupture of left ATFL (ankle ligament) and associated joint capsule damage in a soccer kickabout with friends on Saturday. Continuing to assess extent of injury and treatment plan day by day. Rehab already started..... Working hard to get back as soon as I can.”

Rehab time can range anywhere from 10 days to 6 weeks depending on the severity of the sprain. That puts not just the next few weeks, but the remainder of the 2015 season in doubt for the Palm Beach Gardens resident.

Golf.com and Sports Illustrated ranked all 50 states by their “Golfiness” and the state of Florida was given the top spot on the list. The list, compiled by Golf.com’s travel expert Joe Passov, was done by rating each state on a 0-50 scale in four categories: avidness of golfers, quantity and quality of courses, legacy/vibe, and Joe’s own rating.
