The housing picture is improving in 2018. Home prices will still climb but not as fast, more homes are expected to be for sale at the end of the year giving prospective buyers a greater selection, while homeowners will have more equity to borrow from. Here are some trends to anticipate according the Florida Realtors Association:

1. Home Prices Decelerate

Home price appreciation is cooling down in 2018 after an intense few years. Prices jumped 6.3% in 2016 and are shaping up to be right around 6% this year. But median forecasts among six industry lender groups estimate a 4.1% increase in existing home prices nationwide next year. A contributing factor to this is the large number of new home construction we are seeing. Newly constructed…

The West Palm Brewery & Wine Vault opens today in downtown West Palm Beach at 4 p.m. It has 6 fermentation tanks, a Neapolitan pizza bar, and a Napa-style wine bar.

The upscale pub is brand new yet has a vintage feel with its dim lighting and modern industrial interior. The main bar has high top tables and seating along a large stainless steel-topped bar, there's a marble-topped bar at the wine vault component of the pub, and another bar around the wood burning pizza oven that reaches 1,200 degrees and can bake an individual pizza pie in under 2 minutes.

The brewery will now brew for distribution, unlike many other companies in the area, and only sell beer on the premises. The master brewer says this will allow more room for experiments…

One of the awesome things about Florida is how close we are to the Bahamas. From Stuart to the Grand Bahamas is only about 70 miles and from the Palm Beach Inlet just 55 miles. Take a trip down there and stay for the weekend your own yacht, say this 49-foot Gulfstar:

This boat has a cleverly-designed layout that is well-equipped with countless upgrades and offers much more than yachts in its price range, which is why the "Pandora" will be featured in the upcoming Stuart Boat Show next month. Here's a look at the inside:

A fully enclosed, air conditioned aft deck/living room looks just like your one at home. A sofa, coffee table, ottoman, and lamps make up a comfy living space to enjoy a cruise on the Atlantic.
