According to the Palm Beach Post, The Palm Beach Police Department has responded to more than 130 violations of town ordinance warnings since special measures were taken by officials to contain the spread of the coronavirus in town.

Police Chief Nicholas Caristo said it’s difficult to tally all the cases, but in all, the department has responded to 27 trespass violations in addition to five trespassing arrests. There also have been 36 complaints of “inappropriate social distancing.”

“The police department has no higher purpose than the safety of our residents,” Caristo said. “The Town of Palm Beach has a population that is particularly vulnerable to COVID-19. We have already lost two residents to this disease.”

Everyone loves a “feel good” story and South Florida will not disappoint!   A spokesperson for Ford stated that a subsidiary of the car manufacturer is now producing medical face shields.  One face shield is produced every ten seconds.  More than one million medical face shields were manufactured within 13 days.  This past week, Ford spokesperson, Daniel Barbossa, told CNN of the achievement and many Americans perceived it to be nothing short of a miracle!

The Ford subsidiary facility is located outside Detroit, MI. Currently there are 120 employed at the facility.   Ford executives issued a “call to action “on March 19, after receiving an alert from the Mayo Clinic, and worked up a plan to address the personal protective equipment shortage. …

Some distilleries around the country, including one in South Florida, are converting their alcohol production into creating their own hand sanitizers.

Steel Tie Spirits in West Palm Beach is doing just that and donating them to hospitals, first responders and retirement homes.

Ben Etheridge, the co-founder of the company, says they are selling hand sanitizer to the general public for $10. Proceeds from those sales will help offset the costs for the distillery.

“We’re going to start making hand-sanitizer, we’re not trying to make money on it. We are just trying to pay our employees and do some good for the community. So to be able to put them to work, bottling a product that’s definitely needed in the community that’s huge to us, that’s…
