Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order yesterday instructing the entire state of Florida to “take a pause” for 30 days and stay home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

DeSantis said the statewide stay-at-home order will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday. Residents will still be allowed to go out to get essential supplies, including food and groceries.

More than 30 other states had already issued such orders, including other large states like California, New York and Illinois.

“We’re going to be in this for another 30 days and that’s just the reality that we find ourselves in,” DeSantis said.

The city of West Palm has more than doubled its contributions to Restaurateur Rodney Mayo’s nonprofit established to feed workers who have been laid off because the Coronavirus.

Mayo is one of the owners of Subculture Group, which is one of the Palm Beaches most successful restaurant organizations owning 17 establishments from Subculture Coffee, to Howley’s, Camelot, and many other popular destinations.

Like many restaurants, the Subculture Group was forced to lay off workers due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Everyone loves Slime!  So clear off the kitchen table Palm Beach County and spread out some newspapers.   Round up your young kids, older kids and young-at-heart’s and get ready for science class. Time for an experiment in the “home lab”.  This fun may even count toward science class credit.
