You are at greater risk to get sunburned on a cloudy day than on a sunny day because you are not as aware of being exposed to the sun. For 30 years, the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter has been responsible for the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of thousands of animals back into their natural environment since opening. Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, the largest such facility in Palm Beach County reintroducing endangered and core species back into our fragile ecosystems. Since the opening of the sanctuary over 1.7 million guests have participated in the free education programs.  These educational programs help inform visitors about environmental conservation and protection.

For a reasonably priced family fun day consider taking the kids to the Palm Beach Zoo during the month of August.  The zoo will be offering free admittance for kids under the age of 12 during the month of August. The August special at the Palm Beach Zoo includes admission to the Splash Pad. The Palm Beach Zoo is located at 301 Summit Blvd, West Palm Beach just minutes away from the prominent island of Palm Beach.

The Palm Beach Zoo offers two free child admissions per full-price adult ticket, is valid when they are attended by a paying adult.  Children under 3 are always free.  Parking is free.

Jupiter’s Downtown Abacoa area is preparing for two nights of events this weekend with open air dining and food trucks.

This month, the popular Food Truck Invasion takes over Town Center Drive tomorrow night, Friday, August 13th for a night of great food from some of the best local food trucks in South Florida. Food Trucks offer a variety of dining options for even the pickiest eater in the family. Some of the menu items include pastries and ice cream, burgers, seafood, Mexican food, specialty dishes, and much more.
