Thanks to the Juno Beach Loggerhead Marinelife Center, another loggerhead sea turtle has returned home into the ocean. Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) is one of Florida’s most unique non-profit cultural destinations focused on ocean and sea turtle conservation.

The juvenile sea turtle that was stranded at Coral Cove Park in Tequesta back in November.  The Marinelife center named the turtle Cici.  The sea turtle was successfully released this week, on the beach behind the Juno Beach facility. More than 800 people came out to witness the joyous occurrence.

The Annual Strawberry Festival at the First Presbyterian Church in Tequesta is coming to town next Saturday, March 5, 2016. Come experience a magical world filled to the brim with strawberry creations.

This week, February 17, 2016, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public meeting on the replacement of the US 1 Bridge, connecting the Town of Jupiter to the Village of Tequesta.  The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Jupiter Community Center. 

The bridge, constructed in 1958, spans over the Loxahatchee River and Intracoastal Waterway.  It has been deemed "structurally deficient and functionally obsolete".  In September of 2014, the bridge was structurally checked out and received "substandard sufficiency ratings providing justification for replacement". 

Back in 2013 a $16 million rehab of the bridge was taken into consideration.  Replacing the 50 plus year old…

The charming Village of Tequesta will be hosting a movie night in the park this Saturday, February 13, 2016. This weekend’s feature film is “Hotel Transylvania 2” a perfect film for kids, families or even just adults.

These movie nights in the park are hosted at Constitution Park, located at 399 Seabrook Road in Tequesta. The get together starts at 4:30pm but the movie will begin playing at dusk. Make sure to arrive at a good time to get a prime spot to spread out your blanket and get your refreshments. Refreshments will be available for sale.
