The popular Palm Beach Gardens mall is hoping to receive the okay from the Governor to begin their own reopening process.  If the State of Florida continues to reopen like it has been doing, The Gardens Mall is planning on reopening their doors by Monday, May 18th. 

The Gardens Mall closed it doors due to Covid-19 at closing time on Wednesday, March 18th.  Recently the mall sent out survey’s to mall customers on tips and feedback on how they should reopen and what shoppers should expect to see when the mall opens back up.

Today, Tuesday May 5th is both Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday. Cinco de Mayo or May 5th, is an annual celebration to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862.  The Mexican Army was led under General Ignacio Zaragoza.

Cinco de Mayo is typically celebrated with tons of food, music, folkloric dancing, battle reenactments, parades and is honored and observed by many around the world. This year, mostly all Cinco de Mayo celebrations have been cancelled due to the pandemic but many local restaurants around northern Palm Beach County are open for take out for you to celebrate remotely.

While the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens is temporarily closed to shoppers and visitors, the Food Court and several restaurants are open for take out and delivery. 

For food delivery’s, orders can be placed online through Delivery Dudes, PostMates, Door Dash, Uber Eats or directly from the restaurant. 

Restaurants Open Include: 

1. California Pizza Kitchen: Located in the Food Court is open for both take out and delivery

2. P.F. Changs: Located on the first floor of the mall, near Nordstrom’s is open for take out and delivery.

3. Brio Tuscan Grille: Located on the first floor of the mall, near Nordstrom’s is open for take out and delivery.

Palm Beach Gardens newest residential neighborhood has added more shops and restaurants to its Town Center. Alton’s Town Center is located on Donald Ross Road, east of Interstate 95.  The Town Center is being developed as an entertainment and retail destination within the neighborhood. 

So far businesses are booming at Alton’s Town Center with the new shops and restaurants expected to open in the next few months. Currently, Alton is home to a PetSmart, Publix, Lyrnoa’s, Juniors barber Shop, Panera Bread, Longhorn Steakhouse, Chase Bank, Bolay, LemonShark Poke, Raw Juice Bar , LA Fitness and more. More proposed tenants are expected to open in the coming months.

The Gardens Mall is a popular destination for both locals and visitors in Palm Beach County and Palm Beach Gardens. The two-story enclosed shopping mall opened in 1988 and has become an upscale shopping destination. 

The mall features 1.4 million square feet of space with over 160 boutique, specialty shops, restaurants and more to come. The Gardens Mall features five anchor stores Sear’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue. Recently the mall has added new shops, restaurants and boutiques to their directory.  Some of the new retail stores include Peloton, South Moon Under, Carmen Sol, Kendra Scott, Tesla and True Food Kitchen.

The free weekly outdoor concert is held in the Center Court of the shopping and lifestyle center. The musical lineup features regional and local bands performing the latest hits. The bands play everything from country, classic rock, pop, jazz, oldies, blues, R&B, and everything in between.

The concerts start at 6 pm to 9 pm in the Center Court of the outdoor center.

For the past thirteen years, The Honda Classic Golf Tournament has been played at Palm Beach Garden’s PGA National Resort and Spa. Recently, the popular PGA Tournament has been named the “Most Fan Friendly Event” in 2019. The award was presented to The Honda Classic Golf Tournament at the PGA Tour’s Annual Meetings.

PGA National Resort and Spa has been the home to the golf tournament since 2007 and the tournament is back in Palm Beach County this February. PGA National consists of five golf courses with a total of 18 holes each. The courses include The Champion Course, The Palmer, The Estates, The Fazio, and The Squire.
