Every Friday night, Downtown at the Gardens hosts its weekly concert series in the Centre Court from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

The free weekly concert series features a musical lineup of regional bands and local bands playing everything from pop, rock, jazz, country and everything in between. Seating is provided in the Centre Court for the concerts.

The beloved Christmas movie is coming to the Harbourside Place Amphitheater tomorrow Friday, December 21st in Jupiter. 

The holiday favorite came out in 2003 and stars Will Ferrell, Bob Newhart, Zooey Deschanel and James Caan. The movie is about a baby boy that crawled into Santa’s bag at an orphanage in New York and travelled with him to the North Pole. The young boy was discovered at the end of the night at Santa’s workshop and was named Buddy and spent his childhood being raised by elves. Buddy then travels to New York City to find his real family after overhearing he is not an elf and bring Christmas cheer to his family and New York City.

If you’re ready to spice things up New Orleans style, you’re in luck. The same husband-and-wife team that brought us Calaveras Cantina in Jupiter is planning to open “Voodoo Bayou,” a southern Cajun restaurant, in Palm Beach Gardens.

“Our team has been watching the steady rise of New Orleans being a world class culinary destination,” Curtis Peery, a South Florida native who serves as president for both restaurants, said via a publicist Monday. 

The menu will feature house-made biscuits, Southern-style charcuterie, Cajun seafood boils, shrimp and crawfish fondue, fried green tomato BLTs, fried chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, rabbit and dumplings, and wood-fire oysters, redfish, and gator tail.

A fun and new way for kids to express their creativity is coming to town, and its called wire art. Wire art is a type of art form that comes from a group of artisans in Cape Town, South Africa. It combines wire, beads and other elements for kids to put together in their own way to make art sculptures, jewelry and more. 

Martine Lipnitsky will teach the upcoming wire art classes. Martine learned how to make wire art while visiting South Africa. She saw the art being created and sold on the streets by local artisans. She was taught how to make it by a charitable organization called, Streetwires. This group makes and sells their crafts and unique beads to support the local communities in Cape Town. The 21st Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Palm Beach is coming to town this Saturday, December 5, 2015. It is a cherished event in the area and local residents prepare for it for weeks. 

A major event of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC) and festive present to society, the Annual Holiday Boat Parade will set the bar even higher this year. The 2015 21st Annual Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade kicks off the holiday season this year on Saturday, December 5!

In years past the famous Palm Beach Boat Parade collected more than 18,000 toys for needy children in Palm Beach County!  Favorite area businesses and local municipalities continue providing ongoing support for the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County event.

Veterans Day is a day celebrating and honoring anyone who has served in the United States military. The notable holiday’s origin began as a day to memorize the end of World War I and those who served in it. At the time the day was known as Armistice Day and it was then declared a holiday by President Woodrow Wilson in 1919. It did not become known as Veteran’s Day until 1954.

Northern Palm Beach County’s popular open-air restaurant and retail center, Downtown at the Gardens – best known for its modern shops and trendy eateries – has stepped back in time. Way back.

A pair of wayward dinosaurs has made their way to Downtown Park, grazing amid an abundant supply of tropical trees and plants. The dinosaur duo took a detour on the way the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where they will star in a whimsical dinosaur garden created by Ashem, a landscape-design firm in Delray Beach, to entertain sick boys and girls.

In remembrance of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War (1861 to 1865), the New Gardens Band will welcome The Coates Brass Band: The 47th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment at a special performance Feb. 2, 2013.

The “Civil War Concert” will take place at 8 p.m. at the Eissey Campus Theatre, on the campus of Palm Beach State College, in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

The Coates Brass Band: The 47th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment is comprised of a group of eastern-Pennsylvania musicians who don historic uniforms and recreate the military service of the brass band that served in Key West at Fort Zachary Taylor.
