The Town of Jupiter and City of Palm Beach Gardens have teamed up together for a new virtual fitness challenge called Ignite the Fight. The virtual challenge allows North County residents to get outside and stay active and healthy with some friendly competitions all while support a good cause.

Ignite the Fight challenges our communities to compete a 5K or 3.1 miles of running, walking, hiking, swimming, or rowing anywhere and anytime during the month of October. Registration for the event is now open to reserve your space in the virtual event.

Palm Beach Gardens is a city in northern Palm Beach County that is home to roughly 56,300 residents and is a principal city of the Miami metropolitan area. The city has a total area of 55,000 square miles and roughly two tenths of a mile features water.

Prior to becoming a city in 1969, Palm Beach Gardens was primarily cattle ranches and pine forests with swamp lands to the west. In 1959, the land was purchased by John D. MacArthur and he announced his plan to develop 4,000 acres and build homes for 55,000 people. The Gardens Mall is a popular destination for both locals and visitors in Palm Beach County and Palm Beach Gardens. The two-story enclosed shopping mall opened in 1988 and has become an upscale shopping destination.

The mall features 1.4 million square feet of space with over 160 boutique, specialty shops, restaurants and more to come. The Gardens Mall features five anchor stores Sear’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdales, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Recently the mall has added new shops, restaurants, and boutiques to their directory.  Some of the new retail stores include Peloton, South Moon Under, Carmen Sol, Kendra Scott, Tesla, Shake Shack, and True Food Kitchen.

Downtown Palm Beach Gardens, formally known as Downtown at the Gardens is back open and ready for you to come to dine and shop at one of several shops, boutiques, hair salons, movie theater, and restaurants.

The outdoor shopping and lifestyle center underwent a name change in the beginning of the year. In addition to the name change more stores and restaurants will be coming to the Downtown. Currently under construction is the new Lifetime Athletic Center, a resort style fitness center that will feature 3-stories of fitness classes, a rooftop bistro, and a spa.

Things are starting to get back to normal at The Gardens Mall. The two-story mall located in Palm Beach Gardens reopened Friday, May 15th for shoppers after being closed for nearly two months.

The Gardens Mall joins Boca Raton’s Town Center Mall and The Mall at Wellington Green which opened earlier this month and the Palm Beach Outlets among the list of major retailers to reopen in Palm Beach County.  

All mall employees will wear masks and every day when before their shift begins will have their temperature checked. Tables have been moved in the food court to allow for social distancing and cards are placed on tables to let customers know it have been clean and sanitized. The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens is reopening their doors to shoppers starting today. The mall closed in the middle of March due to Covid-19 and has gotten to approval from the Governor to reopen. 

Recently the mall sent out survey’s to mall customers on tips and feedback on how they should reopen and what shoppers should expect to see when the mall opens back up. The results from the survey found that shoppers are anxious to get back to the mall. 

The mall is offering: curbside and home delivery, reduce seating in the food court, signs on table in the food court noting that table has been sanitized and cleaned, mall employees will have sanitizing products and wear masks at all times, opening doors for guests, suspended valet service,…
