Catch a world premiere exhibition at the first-ever virtual reality expedition of Machu Picchu.  The exhibit opened October 16, 2021, at the Boca Museum of Art and will run through March 6, 2022. “Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru” showcases these rich histories and traditions. The Boca Museum is located at 501 Plaza Real in Boca Raton.  State-of-the-art drone-virtual reality technology was used to film the location providing a never-before-seen look at the mythical landmark.

The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach welcomes the Miami City Ballet for a special exhibition.  To celebrate the arrival of “Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Mexican Modernism from the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection” at the Norton Museum of Art. The Miami City Ballet will perform José Limón’s The Moors Pavane as part of the exhibition’s special programming on October 29 at 7:00 p.m.

The performance will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with Dante Puleio, artistic director of the José Limón Dance Foundation, and Daniel Lewis, president of Miami Dance Futures.

The Boca Raton Museum of Art is presenting “Early Gold in the Kingdom of the Sun: Searching the Origins of Prehispanic Goldsmiths” on Sunday, October 31, 2021.  The event runs for an hour between 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC).

As part of the 17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day Palm Beach County residents and visitors are eligible for FREE admission to many participating local museums and cultural institutions on September 18, 2021. It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy attractions for free. 

Museum Day is a one-day event in which participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. Participants are allowed to download one ticket per email address. The ticket provides free general admission on Saturday, September 18, 2021, for two people.

 Southeast Florida residents should take advantage of Smithsonian Museum Day.  The special day will provide free admission to museums on September 18, 2021. You can open your mind and enjoy FREE admission to hundreds of museums and cultural institutions across the United States as part the 17th annual Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day on September 18, 2021.

Please visit the  Smithsonian Museum Day , search for participating museums in your area. Participants are allowed to download one ticket per e-mail address. Each ticket provides complimentary general admission for two people. 

Limit one ticket per household. If you’re planning a group excursion, each pair will need to download their own admit-two pass.

The Museums On Us program offers free entry the first weekend of each month to participating museums in Florida, and elsewhere, with eligible Bank of America or Merrill Lynch accounts. The free entry to museums requires an appropriate credit or debit card, plus photo Identification.

Bring your preschoolers and little ones to the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach for a fun-filled event just them.  On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. This event is geared toward children aged 5 and under and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
