The Mr. StudFinder Charity Auction is a benefit for Martin County's Habitat for Humanity Women Build program. 

Businessmen from all over the area auction their company's services to raise money for Women Build, females who build homes for those in need. Some things up for bid include a ride in the Goodyear blimp, a sunset cruise, free kite boarding lessons for two, be a Sheriff or Fire Fighter for the day, and a dinner for six in your home prepared by a private chef.

Check out the Treasure Coast Bird Expo coming to town this Sunday in Stuart.

There will be 30+ vendors, a petting zoo, education sessions, a silent auction, raffle and more. See all kinds of birds from all over the world, plus other unique animals like wallabies, tortoises, foxes and pythons- which are all at the petting zoo so you can interact with them! There will also be cages and supplies for sale and birds who need to be adopted. 

Kids especially will love this event and it's free for those ages 10 and under. Parking is free and admission is $5.

Stuart, Florida was just named one of the best places to retire by SmartAsset, a finance and technology company based out of New York. 

SmartAsset factored things like recreation, health care, tax rates, and percentage of other seniors when ranking cities across the country to retire in. The fair is back in Martin County now through February 17th!

The Martin County Fair is actually a 501c3 non-profit organization whose goal is to entertain and promote community traditions, talents, diversity, vision, and agricultural heritage.

It is the largest event in the county attracting more than 70,000 people. The fair has been held for the past 55 years and the money raised goes to improve local facilities, scholarships to students, and programs for Martin County youth.

Every once in a while, locals are lucky enough to see a spectacular sight; Humpback whales breaching the waters of the Atlantic. The mammals, which can grow to be 50 feet long and weigh 40 tons, migrate yearly, traveling from northern Canada and Greenland down to the south Atlantic around the Caribbean for the winter months. That makes now a great time to spot the whales off the coast.

Since they're such large creatures, you'll have a better chance seeing one if you head to deep water. Earlier this week, passengers aboard the Mattanza Charters, based in Pirates Cove Resort and Marina in Port Salerno, went out to the 8-mile reef off Stuart and saw a Humpback having fun in the open ocean.
