With Palm Beach County School District starting classes on Monday, August 31st, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach has created a new program to help students and parents with virtual learning.  Every week, the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center will be hosting their Coastal Classroom.

The Coastal Classroom is a weekly event that will begin Monday, August 31st. The purpose of the Coastal Classroom is to help students, parents, and teachers with the remote virtual learning. Students are invited to complete their virtual schoolwork at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The Coastal Classroom is a safe in-person virtual learning space for students.

This week, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting three events for everyone to attend.

Twilight Yoga at The Light: Monday, August 24th and Monday, August 31st

Tonight, and next Monday, the Lighthouse is hosting their weekly Twilight Yoga at the Light event. Come and enjoy the serenity of Yoga on the Lighthouse Deck and watch the sunset over the water.  All levels are yoga are welcomed to attend the class. The class is $10 dollars per person and registration is required online due to the popularity of the class and class limit. Attendees are asked to bring their own yoga mat and water bottle and meet 10 minutes prior to the class start time at the Museum. This August, The Loggerhead Marinelife Center located in Juno Beach hosts their daily Public Evening Guided Tours. The tours are offered every night and take visitors on an after-hours tour of the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center. Visitors will get an up-close opportunity to see the Marinelife and sea turtles housed in the center.

The Public Evening Guided Tours are open to the public and all are welcomed to attend. The tours last approximately an hour long. The tours are led by the educational experts and staff of the Marinelife Center to answer all of your questions about the sea turtles and Marinelife.

Every night throughout the month of August, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts their Hatchling Release program.

The program is a unique experience that gives the public an insight and a chance to learn about the hatching and nesting process of sea turtles. The nightly program is an after-hours program and begins at 8 pm every night during the month.

The night begins where visitors can view the center’s current sea turtle patients in their outdoor Sea Turtle Hospital, followed by a trip down to the beach to see a Marinelife staff member release a sea turtle hatchling into the ocean.

Hatchling Releases are $22 dollars per person or $20 dollars per Loggerhead Marinelife Center Members. Walk-ins are $22 dollars and a spot is not guaranteed. The…

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is a popular destination for locals and visitors. The iconic red lighthouse sits on top of a midden shell mound on the northern side of the Jupiter Inlet. The location was chosen in 1853 when Congress authorized the construction of the lighthouse tower. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is located between the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse to the north and the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse to the south.  This year the Lighthouse celebrated its 160th Anniversary in July and had a huge celebration to celebrate the milestone.
