The all natural organic grocery store, “Sprouts Farmers Market”, may soon open a location in Jupiter.

According to town spokeswoman Kate Moretto, an application has been filed by the grocery chain with the Town of Jupiter to replace the Winn-Dixie in the Admirals Crossing plaza.

Sprouts is a farmers market style grocery store that believes healthy living is a journey and every meal is a choice. According to their website, “We love to inspire, educate, and empower every person to eat healthier and live a better life. This isn’t just a mission. It’s our passion.”

This year’s Spiny Lobsterfest will be help at Sailfish Marina on Saturday, August 11th, 2018.

A lively little speakeasy on the Singer Island has quite a backstory. As the legend goes, McCoy was a moonshiner here in South Florida during the times of Prohibition.  He had a hidden speakeasy and a reputation for the best moonshine. People from all walks of life came to indulge in his spirits. To hide from authorities, McCoy had livestock and goats on his land.  The only problem was that the goats would knock over the stills and drink the moonshine.  Guests of the speakeasy loved to watch the drunken goats and relish the evening.

On Tuesday, August 7th from 10am – 4pm, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is celebrating our beloved South Florida aid-to-navigation by offering a buy-one-get-one admission special for the day.

The Jupiter Lighthouse was authorized by Congress to be built in 1853, and construction of the tower was completed in May of 1860, with the official lighting commenced on July 10th, 1860.

From 1860 to 1939, more than 70 different keepers maintained this 108-foot lighthouse, until the civilian lighthouse service merged with the United States Coast Guard in 1939. Military personnel remained its keepers until it was automated in 1987.

The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, located at 1451 South Olive Avenue, is currently closed for renovations.  The renowned museum which has been moving toward its $100 million capital goal, made a big leap with a $16 million donation from philanthropist, seasonal Palm Beach resident and self-made hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin.
