So many holidays, so little time. Americans love their fast food and here’s a new national holiday I wasn’t familiar with, National Chicken Tender Day! The celebration begins today, Friday, July 27, 2018. How did this happen after all, chickens don’t actually have fingers, do they?

Chicken tenders/fingers aren't all that complex. Take a chicken breast, bread it, fry it, and there you have it. Chicken tenders have been a staple of fast food restaurants and kids' menus far and wide. The Puritan Backroom in Manchester, N.H., claims to have invented the tenders back in 1974.
