The Honda Classic got a big boost in player notoriety as local residents Rory Mcllory and Tiger Woods both committed to playing in the event held at PGA National.


Ranked number one and two in the world respectively, Mcllroy and Woods join a high profile field featuring other local residents such as Lee Westwood (Old Palm Resident), Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Keegan Bradley (Loxahatchee river residents), and many other of the top names on the PGA tour.


Last year, Woods and Mcllroy battled it out on the final day as Woods shot an eight-under 62 including an eagle on 18 but came up two shots shy of the victory.

This weekend, on Saturday, February 9, 2013, the American Cancer Society Gala of North Palm Beach will take place in the stunning community of PGA National. This is the Centennial Anniversary for the American Cancer Society (ACS), celebrating “100 years of progress in the fight against cancer.”

She grew up in Connecticut to an Air Force Lieutenant father and a dance instructor mother. Annie eventually enrolled in at the San Francisco Art Institute to study painting and developed a love for photography.

The Hobe Sound Festival

The Hobe Sound Festival of the Arts is now in its 12th year and the juried arts festival consists of over 200 sculptors, painters, jewelry makers, iron creators and other talented artists. Artisans from Palm Beach, Martin County and farther come to beautiful South Florida to display their wares.

Family Golf in Jupiter  
A 36-hole, family oriented, mini-golf course east of Alternate A1A has been approved by the Jupiter Town Council.  Plans for “Lighthouse Cove Mini Golf” is thought to be a perfect fit for what the town’s Community Redevelopments Agency is trying to create along  A1A between U.S.1 and Jupiter Beach Road.  The owner says the proposed mini golf would be a family friendly place featuring burgers, ice cream, beer or wine.  It’s going to be people getting together and playing mini golf with soft music in the background.
