Once a month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum host a hike through their 120-acre Outstanding Natural Area.

The next hike will be on March 3rd. The group leaves from the flag pole at 8:30 a.m. Enjoy a 2-mile trek through the area, learning about the topography and natural history, stopping at historic points along the way including the Lighthouse.

The hike lasts about two hours until 10:30. Kids have to be over age 5 and those under 13 need to be accompanied by an adult. Wear hiking footwear, active wear, a hat, sunglasses, and bring a big bottle of water because you'll be out in the sun.

Every March, the Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery in Lake Worth gets covered in flowers and floral art to celebrate the coming of Spring!

Painters, photographers, and florists come from all over the country to participate in the display. The walls, pedestals, vases, and everything else gets covered in floral art in every color of the rainbow. Some art is abstract, some is realist, some is in the form of jewelry, and some bouquets. Local high school students also hang their art, which gets judged and awarded first, second, and third with cash prizes. Set in the roaring twenties, a heartbreaking story is told by Jay Gatsby's neighbor Nick Carraway. Carraway is one of the few who gets to know Gatsby while everyone else only knows little about him other than that he is rich and mysterious. Carraway sees beyond the luxury dream life of Gatsby and finds a very sad man who is madly in love with Daisy, a woman taken by someone else.

Groundbreakings on new homes went up nearly 10% last month, to the highest level since October 2016. 

January saw an annual new construction pace of 1.33 million, which is 120,00 more homes per year than just a month before in December 2017. Construction of single family homes rose 3.7% and apartments/condos ran up to 19.7%. 

Building permits also went up last month about 8% which is a good indicator that we will continue to see growth of new construction in the coming months.

Across the country the market is generally in need of new homes on the market, particularly in the Northeast, where new homes shot up 46%.
