A new Peruvian restaurant is opening in downtown Lake Worth called Victoria's Pisco Lounge.

The lounge is actually a third restaurant branching off the local "Victoria's Peruvian Cuisine," with the other two locations being in Lantana. 

The new restaurant is much anticipated because of how popular Victoria's Peruvian Cuisine is, serving up Peruvian, Latin, and Seafood. Patrons rave over their ceviche, lomo saltado, mixed seafood, and short ribs. The owner says the new spot will be serving up a mix of original plates as well as newer, more modern dishes.

Have some fun relaxing, socializing, and painting at Uptown Art: Boca's wood pallet painting event this Friday, February 8th at 6:30 p.m.

Learn how to paint the above beach scene from the night's instructor. Get hands-on direction, paint supplies, an apron, and everything else you'll need all included. The U.S. homeownership rate rose in the last quarter of 2017 to 64.2 percent from 63.7 percent in 2016, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

The yearly increase is the first one since 2004. The Florida Association of Realtors credits the increase to young, first-time buyers. The homeownership rate in households headed by people under the age of 35 rose to 36 percent in the last quarter from 34.7 percent a year earlier, making it the largest increase of any age group during the period.

Increasing jobs, easier credit, and tax breaks are good incentives for renters to start looking at the market. Recent federal tax changes could enhance the overall economy and give renters the opportunity to save for a downpayment.

Each year for the past 34 years, the Treasure Coast Woodcarvers hosts the Treasure Coast Woodcarving Show in Jensen Beach.

It is a 2-day event where local carvers come display their work, give demos, and more. Come watch these pros carve incredible sculptures and show you how they create intricate masterpieces. Come to an incredible performance by acclaimed jazz pianist Emmet Cohen this Friday, February 2nd at the Arts Garage in Delray Beach.

Emmet Cohen, a powerful and charismatic performer, has been playing piano since the age of 3. Only 27 years old, he holds jazz piano degrees from both the Manhattan School of Music and the University of Miami.
