The IPIC Theater recently opened in Delray Beach last week. The upscale movie theater located just south of Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach on Thursday, March 7th.

The theater complex features eight giant movie screens, office and retail space and a parking garage. The movie theater seats are viewing pods, which wrap around movie goers to create your own private space. The seats recline, in addition to be very comfortable. The pods also come with hidden cup holders, a blanket and a pillow. The seat pods reduce the amount of seating per theater, but the movie theater has 443 seats with the auditoriums ranging from 40 to 80 seats in each.

The Palm Beach Zoo is hosting a 6-day Spring Break Zoo Camp starting Monday, March 18th through Friday March 22nd and then a day camp on Monday, March 25th.

The Spring Break Zoo Camp includes up close animal encounters, zoo keeping activities, visits to the animal habitats, behind the scenes tours, arts and crafts, games, scientific experiments, carousel rides and other educational activities.

The Family Adventure Days are history inspired education and adventures to celebrate the unique culture of the Seminole Tribe in Florida. Guests who visit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach can support sea turtles through their ‘Adopt a Sea Turtle’ program. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit sea turtle research, rehabilitation and sea turtle hospital whose mission is aimed to protect the ocean ecosystems and all Marinelife. Loggerhead provides care and treatment for injured and endangered sea turtles before being released back into the ocean.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting two events this Wednesday, March 13th, Hiking with Young Explorers and the Lighthouse Sunset Tour.

Hiking with Young Explorers: The staff of the lighthouse invites both young explorers and parents to their nature hike of the North Trail. The hike is led by Sophia Fonseca, the lighthouse site’s Natural Resource Specialist. She will lead the hike through the scrub and identify the animal tracks and how the animals move around. The next hike is this Wednesday, March 10th at 9 am. The hike last approximately an hour and attendees are asked to bring water, sunscreen, bug spray and a snack if needed. On Mondays, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts their weekly Twilight Yoga At The Light. The class welcomes all levels of Yoga and attendees get to experience the serenity of yoga on the Lighthouse deck, under the big banyan tree with the sun setting in the background.

The yoga class is taught by Mary Veal, from Kula Yoga Shala, located in Jupiter. During the outdoor yoga class there is no music, no harsh lights, just the soothing sounds of the water and nature.

All are welcome to attend the class. The cost is $10 dollars per person. Guests are asked to bring their own yoga mats, a flashlight, and water.
