The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their reoccurring Hike Through History this weekend.

The 2-mile journey includes hiking through the 120 acres of the Lighthouse Natural Conversation Area to learn about nature and the history of the iconic Jupiter site and Lighthouse. The historic site is just one of three natural sites in the United States and is protected by the Bureau of Land Management’s National Conversation Land Programs.

This Saturday, March 2nd at 8:30 am the Lighthouse is hosting the event. The hike welcomes children and adults to join in. Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and the minimum age for children is 5 years old.

This Wednesday, February 27th the Downtown at the Gardens is hosting their monthly Kids Crawl.

Families are invited to attend and enjoy a fun-fill afternoon filled with activities for children and families, free carousel rides, arts and crafts, games, retailer promotions, and much more. Every month there is a different theme with plenty of new surprises and fun.

This month the theme for the Kids Crawl is sea-themed with the help of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, a sea turtle research and rehabilitation center located in Juno Beach.

The event starts at 11 am this Wednesday and last until about 1 pm in the Carousel Court of the Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens.

For the past twelve years, The Honda Classic Golf Tournament has been played at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens. The popular golf tournament was founded 47 years ago in 1972 and has been held in Palm Beach County since 2003. The prior location of the tournament before PGA National was Mirasol Country Club from 2003 until 2006.

The PGA National Resort and Spa has been the home of the Honda Classic since 2007. The golf club consists of five elegant and challenging courses each with a total of 18 holes. Join the Loggerhead Marinelife Center this Friday night for their special Astronomy Night series. Due to the popularity, the research and rehabilitation center has added this event to their calendar every month.

Astronomy Night is based on the activity in the nights sky. During the night you’ll get a chance to learn about the planets and the stars. The series will also include information about the sky’s glow and touch lightly on pollution. The main goal of the night is to promote and increase the awareness of our impact on the environment.

This Friday join the River Center in Jupiter for an exciting family-friendly adventure, the Sandbar and Seashell Family Boating tour and Snorkeling Exploration.

Climb onboard the Osprey boat for a fun trip on the Loxahatchee River. Here you’ll be able to hunt for seashells, snorkeling and get some sunshine, while docking at the sandbar. Make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, water, snacks and snorkeling gear. Guests will be getting on and off the boat at several times through the day.

The MacArthur State Park in North Palm Beach is the only state park in Palm Beach County. The state park preserves the natural heritage of the subtropical coastal habitat in Southeast Florida.

MacArthur Park is nestled along the Atlantic Ocean on a barrier island and houses several rare or endangered tropical and coastal plant species. This weekend the streets of Lake Worth will transform into the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival this Saturday and Sunday.

The artwork only lasts until the next raindrop. The street paintings turn the roads into hand drawn artwork. The festival features temporary masterpieces in an open-air museum of art, sound and aromatic segments.

The festival is the largest of its kind in the country and draws a huge crowd every year. The artists create a classic or 3-D masterpiece for viewers to come by and see. The drawings are done by using environmentally friendly chalk on both the sidewalks and street. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is preparing to release another sea turtle, named Aquaman back into the ocean this Thursday, February 21st.

Aquaman is a large juvenile green sea turtle that was found in the Lake Worth Lagoon in North Palm Beach in January 2018. The sea turtle arrived at the research and rehabilitation center with a fishing line entangled around its left front flipper. The Center carefully removed the line and the wound was treated with a therapeutic laser and some honey. The sea turtle also received antibiotics and was monitored closely throughout the last year.
