Tips To Stay Sane While Working From Home
During the past few weeks, working from home or online schooling has been the new norm for us. For many, this change is causing anxiety and uncertainty about being productive at home.
Here are some tips on how to stay productive and connected while working from home.
- Stay Connected With Your Peers: social connection is good for your mental health and good for completing tasks. Communication builds trust and can be done virtual through Zoom meetings or Facetime calls and check in with your work collages or peers.
- Structure Your Day: Its important to stick to your daily routine the best that you can to maintain a sense of normality.
- Be Patient With Technology: More people are working from home and on the Internet, many home internet connections are not as strong to hold multiple devices at one time. If your Internet is running slow, disconnect devices from your Wi-Fi that you are not currently using to help your Internet run faster.
- Get Outside And Get Fresh Air: Florida is currently under a “Stay At Home” order, which means unless you are exercising outside, picking up food, going to the grocery store or pharmacy or other essential businesses you must stay home. Even by opening your windows or doors to get fresh air inside can change your mood.
- Accept This As Our New Normal For Now: Working from home and online schooling can be an adjustment so its important to create a work space that will be productive and remind yourself that this is only temporary.
