In 1984, he declared a day for ice cream, and his proclamation exalted the dairy business in the United States.

Earlier this week, The Loggerhead Marinelife Center released two sea turtles back into the ocean. The double release was the first public sea turtle release since February of 2020. Hundreds of people gathered along the beach near the center to witness two sea turtles be released back into the ocean after spending months at the center for recovery and rehabilitation.

The sea turtle release event was Wednesday, July 14th at 9:30 am. The two sea turtles released were named Big Chase and Pike. Pike is a subadult loggerhead sea turtle patient that was found near the Juno Beach Pier a few months back. Let us talk turtles! Although verbal communication is less evident among sea turtles compared to freshwater turtles and tortoises. Sea turtles have existed for more than 120 million years.  In 1999, researchers definitively recorded sounds from sea turtles.  This was the first time we learned that turtles talk (okay, communicate).  Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach wants to introduce humans to the way sea turtles communicate.
