Tapas are an appetizer or snack in traditional Spanish cuisine. Boca Raton offers many restaurants and cafes. A tapas bar is known for small portions of any kind of Spanish cuisine, a glass of wine and friends. Tapas may be cold such as mixed olives and cheese or a small plate served hot. Tapas have evolved into a stylish cuisine which can serve as a full meal.

Patio Tapas and Beer, 205 SE 1st Avenue, Boca Raton is owned by Bryant Fajardo. He is a graduate from Le Cordon Bleu in Los Angeles. When we were told the same good people behind Guanabanas Restaurant in Jupiter were opening a new waterfront dining destination in Stuart, we had to venture north to check out their newest creation, TideHouse.

Arriving by boat, we were pleased to find quick and easy dockage at Harborage Marina and Yacht Club, with a depth of about 6-8’ throughout the entire marina making it a simple option for a larger boat as well. They offer a single floating dock on the west side of the main marina dock for anyone to use, as well as 3 first-come-first-serve boat slips.

TideHouse’s large dining area and island bar has a modern yet casual feel like a cross between a tiki bar and a yacht club, and overlooks the St. Lucie River from above, providing sweeping…

Hobe Sound is a charming little community just north of the Palm Beach County line within Martin County. The quaint little town is abundant with beautiful beaches, easy to drive roads and a chilled out friendly vibe. Plan an easy day of fun, relaxed things to do in Hobe Sound within proximity to each other.

Harry and the Natives Restaurant has been around since 1941. It’s an eclectic place which advertises to be “Hobe Sound’s only waterfront restaurant…when it rains”!  It’s so old that it has the 9th alcohol license in the district, and places 1 to 8 are no longer up and running. It’s a definite beloved with the locals.  Funky, fun and fan favorite.

The Blowing Rocks are a “point of interest” in Hobe Sound. The preserve was named for its rocky…

Enjoy an adult beverage, live music and fresh air at the Sunset Celebration, Sailfish Marina, every Thursday evening.  Thirsty Thursdays are a local’s favorite.  Listen as Jimmy Buffet style music and/or steel drums play on the boardwalk.

Sunset at Sailfish offers a classic South Florida setting of fresh seafood restaurant and yachting marina. Spot lazy pelicans bobbing around in the water hopping to catch a scrap of fish food. The restaurant is on the Intracoastal Waterway, north of the Lake Worth inlet and a bit north of Palm Beach. Come by boat, car and just sit back and watch all the boats cruise by. Choose a formal dining experience or grab a famous “Grouper Dog” or basket of Conch Fritters for a night reminiscent of an evening in Key West.

Indian cuisine uses the whole palette of flavors—spicy, sour, sweet, and hot all at the same time—making it something that wants to jump off the plate. There are a basic 20 to 30 spices that are used in many dishes—cumin, coriander, turmeric, and ginger, to name a few—and there are an infinite number of ways of using them.

West Palm Beach has some great Indian restaurants, here are a few of our favorites. With all its exotic ingredients, unfamiliar dishes, and tongue-tingling flavors, Indian cuisine can be both exciting and intimidating.

If you’re a boater, you may have seen or stopped at the Food Yacht in Jupiter for a quick bite, but there’s more to the story about this yummy yacht.

Chef and Captain of the 40-foot catamaran proudly anchored up in Jupiter between the A1A and US1 bridge, Justin Lindemann has been a chef in the Palm Beach area for over 16 years, including at Jupiter’s beloved Food Shack. He created the Food Yacht in March of 2015 to pursue his dream of providing delicious food on the beautiful Florida waters and now serves hungry boaters all weekend long.

Not only is he licensed by the town of Jupiter, but he is also inspected by the Department of Food and Health. Although Lindemann has owned his boat for four years, he wasn’t really able to go full time with…
