Several local restaurants have teamed up together to participate in the first “Eat in for Education” event this January. The Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Restaurants and Lodging Association (FRLA) is hosting the virtual event to help support educational scholarships for local culinary and hospitality students. The event is scheduled to take place this January 20th and January 21st.

Fifteen local hotels and restaurants will participate by donating three-course takeout meals for the event. Diners will have a two-tier option to spend $50 or $100 dollars on a takeout meal for two. Palm Beach County residents are encouraged to participate and purchase these takeout meals to help benefit the event and help support local businesses.

Downtown Palm Beach Gardens is bringing back their outdoor concert series on Friday and Saturday nights this January. The weekly concerts are free, and everyone is welcomed to attend.

The outdoor concerts feature a diverse musical lineup of regional and local bands playing everything from country, pop, jazz, rock, and everything in between. The concerts take place in the Center Court.

Before or after the concert, make sure to check out one of the several restaurants located at the Downtown for something to eat. Restaurants includes The Cheesecake Factory, Grimaldi’s Coal Brick Oven Pizza, The Yard House, Avocado Cantina, Texas de Brazil, Sloan’s Ice Cream Shop, Voodoo Bayou and Le Bouchon.

Downtown Palm Beach Gardens is adding a new rebranded restaurant to its directory. The popular Avocado Grill has a location in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, however the Palm Beach Gardens location has been rebranded and renamed to Avocado Cantina and is now open for business.

The new restaurant opened this past Monday and features build your own margaritas, an extensive tequila menu, Mexican street corn, tacos, and specialty dishes. According to the chef, the restaurant was rebranded because Palm Beach Gardens was craving good Mexican food and their special Mexican themed-dishes, drinks, and events always drew a large crowd in the past.
