Please join the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County and artNEST Delray for their Saturday Family Program.  The first Saturday in March will feature splash art with paint. Participants will use the outdoor splash wall for the unleashing of inner Picasso, creativity and fun. Kayaking the Loxahatchee River is one of the best ways to see what Old Florida may have been like up close.  Kayaking provides a rare opportunity to catch a glimpse of endangered, threatened, and unique animals, such as the bald eagle. It can take five hours or more to make the eight-mile trip from Riverbend Park in Jupiter to Jonathan Dickinson State Park, the largest state park in southeast Florida. Head on over to Jupiter beach this Saturday morning and join the Friends of Jupiter Beach as they help clean up the area shoreline.  Friends of Jupiter Beach is a nonprofit 501(c)3 whose goal is to support and maintain environmentally health, clean and dog-friendly beaches in Jupiter, Florida.

In 1994, the threat of closing the beach to dogs rallied a small group of concerned citizens, who quickly began organizing beach cleanups and providing dog waste bags at beach crossovers. Since then, the group has exploded, with individuals and businesses joining in an effort which “repeatedly demonstrate care for their marine environment and the privilege of taking our four-footed friends to one of the last dog beaches in the area”.

Join other Royal Palm Beach residents, their families and friends at the Gourmet Food Truck Expo and Movie Night in the Park. Royal Palm Beach’s free weekly events return with new COVID-19 protocols in place, including enforced social distancing and a mask requirement. The event is 5:00pm to 9:00pm Friday, February 5, 2021 at Commons Park.  Gourmet food trucks will be on-site with a variety of food and drinks, and the movie “Gemini Man” will be played for Movie Night.

The River Center in Jupiter is hosting their second annual Atala Butterfly Festival and Family Day this weekend. Head to the River Center this Saturday for the fun-filled event.

The Butterfly Festival celebrates the Atala Butterfly. The butterfly was once thought to be extinct, but the beautiful butterfly is local here in Jupiter and is thriving right in our own backyards.

The day’s events will include butterfly arts and crafts, a Native Plant sale, Native Plant seed harvesting, Tours of the River Center migratory bird and butterfly garden, and more.

Palm Beach County is home to some of the most enjoyable bicycle trails in the South Florida. There are a few that are family friendly which kids of all ages can enjoy.

Cypress Creek Natural Area in Jupiter offers a nice scenic path along the boardwalks overlooking the ecological area. In addition to the bike trails, there is also a few “foot traffic only” trails where you can explore. The trials are roughly 2 miles in length and located at the end at Mack Dairy Road.
