The Easter bunny will no doubt visit the Port St. Lucie with the all the Easter egg hunts scheduled.  Did you ever wonder why colored eggs, why a fabled bunny?  It is believed by many that the Easter bunny first arrived in the U.S. in the 1700’s. German immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania and brought their tradition of an egg-laying hare called “Osterhase” or “Oschter Haws.” The children made nests in which it could lay its colored eggs. The tradition scattered around America and the mythical rabbit’s Easter morning deliveries grew to include chocolate and other types of candy and gifts. The decorated baskets replaced nests.

Downtown Palm Beach Gardens is hosting a family filled activities beginning this Friday afternoon. Come bring the family and participate in the Downtown Collective Family Art in the Park event.

Do not miss the opportunity to leave your artistic mark on the sidewalks of the outdoor shopping and lifestyle venue. Decorate the pavers with your little ones and enter a chance to win a gift card to one of the amazing restaurants at the Downtown.

Registration is required due to limited space and the participation fee is $15 dollars. The art class event will begin this Friday, March 19th at 5 pm. Chalk art judging will begin at 5:30 pm and will be broken into three categories based on the children’s age groups.

One of Palm Beach County’s popular attraction is opening this weekend for the Spring and Summer season. Rapids Water Park is opening this Saturday and is the largest waterpark in all South Florida. The water park features more than 30 acres of splash zones, pools, waterslides, and more.

The water park is spilt up into three sections, a Thrill Ride section, Family Rides, and Kid’s Zone. The Thrill ride section features some of the most daring and biggest waterslides in the park with twists, turns, and drops. The City of West Palm Beach is excited to offer a new event starting tonight during their popular Clematis By Night event. Clematis By Night includes local bands and musicians performing at the Meyer Amphitheatre on the waterfront.

In addition to the live music tonight, the city is planning to debut their new Clematis By Light event. The newly renovated Centennial Foundation located at the east end of Clematis Street will feature a light and water show. The show that will kick off the event is the “Love Our CommUNITY”.

The Martin County Fair is back for another year this February. The Martin County Fair is the largest single event held in Martin County every year. The weeklong event draws over 70,000 people from across the Treasure Coast for a day of fun.

Jupiter is very easy to navigate on foot or by bike via The Riverwalk. Upon completion, the Jupiter Riverwalk trail will provide public access to 2.5 miles along the Intr acoastal Waterway and the Jupiter Inlet. The Riverwalk “transverses through many types of upland communities including environmentally sensitive lands, residential, marinas, commercial properties as well as waterfront parks.”
