Today is National Taco Day. Southeast Floridians can enjoy this fun holiday today, October 4, 2021. Consider it an intensified version of the “Taco Tuesdays”.  On National Taco Day, we only need to grab some tortillas and stuff them with savory fillings, from the traditional Carne Asada or fish, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro, salsa, and sour cream.

October is National Pizza Month.  Pizza Today Magazine decided to dedicate a month to pizza and chose October. Many people in Palm Beach County must enjoy pizza by the number of pizza places in the county!

Modern pizza evolved from similar flatbread dishes in Naples, Italy in the 18th or early 19th century. The word pizza was first documented in A.D. 997 in Gaeta and successively in different parts of Central and Southern Italy. Pizza was mainly eaten in Italy and brought to the United States by emigrants from there.

Steak lovers prepare for a delicious new steakhouse heading to Jupiter! Truthfully, not a completely “new” restaurant but a sister steakhouse of the renowned Okeechobee Steakhouse.  Owner Ralph Lewis announced he just signed the lease for the former Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant on the corner of Indiantown Road and Central Boulevard. Lewis plans to open Lewis Steakhouse sometime around November 1, 2021. 

Lewis stated “My goal has been to open a restaurant to which I could give some ownership to my longtime employees.
