As one of South Florida’s most natural thrills, it is always amazing to most that some 3,000 enormous sea turtles still lumber onto South Florida’s beaches at night to lay their eggs.  
Every summer, March through October, our pristine beaches are decorated with neon colored tape and signs to show where these ancient creatures have buried their nest.

Under the pale light the moon shines onto the beaches, turtle nesting season is such an awe-inspiring scene to watch. As the sea turtles wade their way up to the beach to dig holes in the sand and lay their eggs to then disappear back into the deep blue.

May is here and bringing in the heat along with warmer water temperatures!

Offshore- The big bite happening offshore this week in South Florida is definitely kingfish, averaging in at 30-50 pounds. In the range of 100-200 ft. of water, the best bait to use if you are trying to target these silver kings are live goggle eyes or sardines. However, if you prefer trolling the offshore waters, break out your downriggers and run a split tail mullet or artificial ribbonfish to attract the fish’s attention.
Dolphin and Wahoo are in a little deeper of 200-350 ft. of water and anglers may have to work a little harder to find these fish at these depths and some reports say dolphin are in much deeper as 800-1200 ft.  Mix up your bait spread a bit with natural and…

Looks like an enjoyable weather forecast coming up for the weekend! The winds are Southeast and the South Florida waters are getting prepped up for the springtime fish bite!

OFFSHORE- The action has definitely perked up for the springtime! The dolphin bite has been great on all the South Florida Inlets and in theory should continue to do well through the weekend. The big dolphins are out 15-20 miles offshore and even biting closer in under the frigate birds. Reports have claimed over 40 pound dolphins are being brought up to the boat. (Trolling the usual dolphin spread with ballyhoo, strips, squid, etc.) Spring has called in some huge fish to South Florida! The Action has also picked up in the sailfish department. Congratulations to local North Palm Beach resident, professional golfer and respected philanthropist, Jack Nicklaus!  He has been presented with the Congressional Gold Medal. Both houses of Congress honored Nicklaus with the medal March 25, 2015
