The first weekend in October, brought a bit of a cool front to our South Florida waters and while the Bluewater Babes Fish for a Cure tournament was scheduled many captains said, it couldn’t of been better conditions for a fishing tournament. The sun was blazing and cool breeze was at our backs!

The past weekend was amazing at the 2015 Bluewater Babes event that was at Sailfish Marina on Singer Island, Florida. Everyone who was able to participate in the community really worked hard and all the money raised goes to the local breast cancer research and its patients. Bluewater Babes continues to be overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for this tournament and with the added help, together we all made an even bigger difference.

Pull up a chair and get cozy for a night of spectacular proportions this Sunday! Across North America the night sky will show a “comic ballet” where you will be able to see a lunar eclipse. The moon will travel across the sky that will create a lunar eclipse unseen since 1982 and not to be seen again until 2033. 

A lunar eclipse like this one has only occurred five times since 1900. It has been named a “super moon.” It has been given the name super because of it is a moon in perigee- or the closest it will come to Earth in its orbit around the planet. The clear, warm waters of South Florida and the Palm Beaches offer year round snorkeling spots that can be found almost anywhere, but a very popular Palm Beach County snorkeling spot was ranked and named among the 12 best snorkeling spots in the country, according to Yahoo Travel!

Most of South Florida boasts many snorkeling spots that people tend to frequently enjoy by drifting along and seeing underwater creatures come to life!
