The city of Palm Beach Gardens is suitably named, as it is comprised of 30 percent flourishing greenery. Located seven miles north of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens is known for its excellent shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities at the Gardens Mall, Downtown at the Gardens, and Legacy Place. Boating and fishing are plentiful, as are beautiful luxurious waterfront homes, some even sitting directly on the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, if not the Intracoastal Waterway.

A 352-pound female loggerhead sea turtle, who rehabilitated at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, returned to her rightful home this week.  Biologists from Inland Research Group discovered “Big Mama” in the St. Lucie Power Plant Intake Canal with an injury to her shell.  They contacted the staff at renowned marine life center for help.

Charles Manire, staff veterinarian and Director of Research & Rehabilitation is quoted as saying, “we are not sure where the wound originated, but it extends all the way down her coelomic cavity, which is close to her lung.”

Upon reaching Loggerhead, “Big Mama” was nearly 50 pounds under weight and may have recently nested.  They found that she was carrying eggs via an…

A marketing survey released last year showed 45 percent of respondents would use PBIA most of the time if it had more direct flights, specifically to California and New York. The survey of the airports coverage area was done to identify “ways to stem the tide of passengers shifting to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando International airports.”

The victory for PBIA, according to airport officials, was when American Airlines announced last Friday that it would add a nonstop flight to LAX.

For the first three months, rates will be offered most non-holiday weeks at $294 round trip! If you are looking to get out of Jupiter...or come in from L.A., you can't beat the price of the ticket. Please visit American Airlines Flight Reservations.

Brooks Koepka was seven when Tiger Woods won his first career major at the 1997 Masters. This week, the Wellington native and now Palm Beach Gardens resident got to compete in the first major of his career and had a final round that he will never forget.

Thanks to a third round 73 by Tiger, Koepka got to do more than just meet his childhood idol on Sunday, he got to play a round with him too. Koepka and Woods met for the first time on the putting green before their round started, talking about Woods’ membership at Medalist among other things (Koepka is currently playing out of Bear Lakes but is looking for a new club).

It is the scenery and the lifestyle that bring people here.  Ask any longtime resident what it is that makes this Jupiter/Juno beach area and you will get many different answers.  Condominiums with direct Atlantic Ocean views, year around perfect weather, and a relaxed lifestyle are just the tip of the "sand-berg".

The perfect winter, natural beauty and recreational activities along the Jupiter/Juno beaches keep seasonal snowbirds flocking home in the winter.  Avoiding the winter chill, they come to walk their dogs on the beach, ride a beach cruiser, surf or paddleboard.  Welcomed by the locals, one seasonal resident says she and her husband exercise daily along the beach.  “We have been walking this beach for seven years and have met the most delightful…

Stacy Lewis won her first major as a professional in 2011 at the Kraft Nabisco Championship. It was the last time a female American golfer won a major on the LPGA tour. That was until Sunday, when Lewis won again, this time at the Women's British Open.

Having to play 36-holes on Sunday due to the third round being postponed Saturday because of high winds, the Palm Beach Gardens resident and Medalist member finished birdie-birdie on the final two holes at St. Andrews to record a final round 72 and a two shot victory.

Lewis has proven over her career that she is very comfortable at the Old Course. When she last played there in 2008, she went 5-0 for the American team at the Curtis Cup (the women's equivalence of the…
