Fishing is a popular activity in South Florida. Whether you’re a beginner or have been fishing for years, the waterways of Jupiter and the Loxahatchee River provide an ideal spot for a large variety of inshore and offshore fishing along the 380-mile intercostal waterways of Florida. Some of the fish included Speckled Sea Trout, Jacks, Redfish, Snook, Pompano and the seasonal Tarpon, all found in the waterways along Jupiter.

Friends of Jupiter Beach has been organizing beach cleanups on the FIRST Saturday of every month since 1994. Volunteers, ages 4 to 84 and multiple generations, arrive from 15 area zip codes to help remove trash & recyclables, then gather for a delightful continental breakfast & “thanks for coming” door prizes.

Every day of the week, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach hosts Public Daily Tours of their Sea Turtle Facility. Visitors will get an up-close opportunity to see the sea turtles and fish houses in the research and rehabilitation center.

The Marinelife Center’s tours are open to the public and all are welcomed to attend to see how the center operates. The tours last approximately an hour and are led by the educational experts and the staff of the center to answers all of your questions.

The tours cost $10 for adults and $5 dollars for children under 8 years old. Those who wish to attend can register online or at the Guest Service Desk in the main lobby. The tours are limited to 15 people per tour due to the amount of space.

It’s happening at the 13th Annual Port Salerno Seafood Festival this Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10:00am- 8:00pm.  The festival assures us that “the fish is fresh, the beer is cold, and the smiles are always warm!”. 

The seafood festival began as a neighborhood fish fry and dock party along the waterfront of Port Salerno.  The Port Salerno community was amid a revitalization chapter during 2006.   A small group of concerned locals met at a fish fry hoping to bring positive awareness to the area’s historic commercial fishing trade and gather support for the community.

For the first time ever, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their Sea Turtle Sleepover this upcoming Saturday, January 26th.

The Sea Turtle Sleepover is an exclusive program for children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old. Besides the sleepover that nighttime program includes a tour of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s Outdoor Sea Turtle Hospital, snacks and pizza, movie time, children’s activities, a chance to meet the sea turtle patients, a scavenger hunt, and concludes with the ultimate slumber party. You are allowed to bring your own snacks and drinks for the night, the center asks that all drinks be in a reusable container.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse sits on top of a grassy mount overlooking Jupiter and the Inlet. The red lighthouse has been a part of Jupiter’s culture since it began construction in 1853. Today the lighthouse is open 7 days a week and hosts a series of events throughout the week.

Lighthouse Sunset Tour: Wednesday, January 16th, January 23rd, and January 30th

Mark your calendars for the 3rd Saturday Gourmet Food Truck Event this Saturday, January 19th in downtown Hobe Sound.

The large block party brings DJ Jef of DancenSound, beverages, local shops and vendors and of course unique food trucks. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a night of fun under the stars. The Hobe Sound Food Truck events occur on the 3rd Saturday of every month until May and then September 2019 through November 2019. The cost is free to attend.
