Downtown Palm Beach Gardens is hosting a kid’s cooking class this weekend. The What’s Cooking With Miss Nancy cooking class is back this Saturday and Sunday for multiple sessions.

Gather all the little bakers in the family and head to the Downtown Park for a cupcake decorating class with Miss Nancy and ‘Shell-ebrate the Ocean’. The class includes a cooking demonstration and a chance to decorate your own cupcake like a crab.

Pre-registration is required for the event. A cash donation of $10 dollars will be collected per child at the event. The cooking class helps benefit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. To reserve your spot, click here.

On select Saturdays and Sundays, The River Center in Jupiter teams up with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide Boating Safety Classes targeted for young boaters in our community. The class is aimed for young boaters, but all boaters are welcomed to join and learn more about the safety on the water.

The classes are taught in a lecture style and the classes are provided to the community through a generous sponsorship by the AustinBlu Foundation. The foundation is a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and promoting educational programs to enhance boater safety.

Music venues got the okay to reopen and concerts and musical events will be returning to West Palm Beach this June. The iThink Financial Amphitheatre (formally The Coral Sky Amphitheater) will soon be welcoming musical guests and concert goers.

Shows and concerts are scheduled to start this summer beginning in June. The concerts will begin with reduced capacity of 75% or 15,000 people and new this year, all tickets will be digital and contactless.

The Gardens Mall has partnered with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to present a new exhibit coming to the mall beginning this week. The exhibit is called ‘Out Of This World’ and is an “interactive imagination immersion above and beyond”.

The exhibits is set to open on the first floor of The Gardens Mall near Saks Fifth Avenue this Friday, April 16th. The exhibit will be open to the public in Palm Beach Gardens until May 16th. Admission is by donation with all proceeds benefiting the charitable partner, Give Kids The World.

The popular after-school program Science With Sam is back this week at The River Center in Jupiter. On select Wednesdays during the month, the center hosts the after-school program for student’s grades K through 5th grade.

The program is aimed for students that are interested in learning and in science. Each Science With Sam program has a different theme and all feature different science activities such as hands-on learning opportunities with wildlife and garden exploration.

Juno Beach is home to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, a research and rehabilitation center for endangered and injured sea turtles. Several times a day from March to October, the center monitors the beaches for sea turtle nests during nesting season.

The beaches of Juno Beach and Jupiter are one of the most populated sea turtle nesting spots in the world. Every year, thousands of sea turtles lay their eggs on the sand. Greens, loggerheads, and leatherback nests are most often found along the 9.5 miles of the sandy shoreline that they center monitors. Its important to note that if a sea turtle nest is found, to not disturb the nest, simply observe from a distance.

During the month of April, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular and reoccurring Lighthouse Sunset Tours. The sunset tours take place on Wednesday nights and make plans to attend at least one this April.

Wednesday nights the Lighthouse is open to visitors for the Lighthouse Sunset Tour. Visitors can climb the 105 steps to the top and take in the incredible sunset views over Jupiter. The tour will include a sneak peek inside the lighthouse Watchroom and a chance to witness the light turn on and illuminate the sky.
