Every year, the PGA National Resort and Spa hosts The Honda Classic Golf Tournament in Palm Beach Gardens. Last year, Jupiter resident and Professional Golfer Rickie Fowler took home the winning title and earnings.

The PGA National Resort and Spa has been the home to The Honda Classic since 2007. The club features 5 challenging and exciting 18-hole golf courses, The Champion, The Palmer, The Squire, The Estates, and The Fazio. The Honda Classic is played on the Champion course every year. The Champion course was redesigned in 2014 and is now famous for “The Bear Trap”, three challenging holes that was designed by the Professional Golfer and local resident Jack Nicklaus.

The local Jupiter favorite, Guanabanas Island Restaurant and Bar has made the list of the Must Try Restaurants in Florida.

The waterfront island bar and restaurant has open air outdoor seating and bar under tiki huts, oversized umbrellas, and banyan trees for the perfect tropical island atmosphere. The restaurant came in the Top 15 of restaurants to try in Florida by Only In Your State.

The Roger Dean Stadium located in downtown Abacoa in Jupiter is home to two professional teams during Spring Training, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins. The two teams practice and play games for the upcoming Major League Baseball season.

The Miami Marlins compete as a member of the National East Division in the Major League. Their home park is The Marlin Park in Miami, Florida. The Marlins have gone on to win two World Series Championships in 1997 and in 2003.

The Honda Classic is approaching and so is the list of fun activities to kick off this year’s famous golf tournament at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.

Join the Gardens Mall for a night of fun and to help kickoff the start of the tournament this Thursday, February 15th. At the event there will be great food from several local restaurants, drinks, live entertainment, silent auctions, and more in the Grand Court of the mall, near Macy’s.

Tickets are required for admittance into the event and can be purchased online or at the event for $50 dollars a ticket. The event is from 7 pm to 10 pm.

Worth Avenue is an upscale dining and shopping street in Palm Beach. Worth Avenue stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal. The buildings and architecture are sophisticated Spanish-influenced designed by Addison Mizner in the 1920’s, with courtyards and vias off the main avenue that makes Worth Avenue one of the most beautiful shopping destinations in the country.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers public daily tours to learn about the sea turtles and fish that are housed at the center.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit educational and ocean conversation facility in Juno Beach. The Marinelife Center focuses on injured and endangered sea turtles by helping rehabilitate, research, and provide care before being sent back into the Atlantic Ocean. Forbes released a list on their website last week featuring the Top 18 Spots to travel to in 2018, and Palm Beach County has made the list.

Palm Beach County is made up of 47 miles of sandy coastline and beaches with 39 towns and cities. Palm Beach Paddle Fest is a free family-friendly event taking place on Saturday, February 10th at Harbourside Place in Jupiter. The event will feature a number of exhibits, vendors, water-based demonstrations, live entertainment for all ages, and of course paddle races and relays.

The festival is for both new and experienced paddlers in different races and relays, each race will be made up of 6 categories for men and women. The categories include Stand Up Paddle (SUP) 12’6, SUP 14, Prone (for all), OC-1, Surfski Single, and Kayak.

The Honor Bar, a new addition to the recently renovated Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach has been receiving great reviews since it has opened.

The Palm Beach location is the restaurant’s fourth location throughout the United States, with other locations in Beverly Hills, CA., Montecito, CA., and Dallas, TX. The restaurant is located next to the highly-rated Palm Beach Grill, in fact they share the same kitchen and are both run under the hands of the executive chef, Andrew Schor.
