The grand estate is one of the most famous landmarks and homes on Palm Beach Island. The Flagler Museum, formally known as Whitehall, is a grand estate that features more than 100,000 square feet filled with some of the most important Palm Beach history.

The home was commission by the American Industrialist Henry Flagler as a wedding gift to his wife Mary. Flagler, the founder of Standard Oil commissioned John Carrere and Thomas Hastings to build and design the grand estate. Hastings and Carrere were also the architects for other famous landmarks such as the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City and the New York Public Library during the Gilded Age.

It was just a little over a month ago when Dustin Johnson failed to break 80 in his two rounds at the Memorial before heading home. The following week he traveled to Minnesota for the 3M Open where he opened with a 78 and promptly withdrew. It seemed like DJ was playing his worst golf during at the worst time with a major and the playoffs on the horizon.

What a difference just a few weeks can make.

After a runner-up finish at the PGA Championship, Johnson arrived at The Northern Trust in Boston, the first event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs and proceeded to lap the field. Break out the paint brushes or fire up your favorite digital art tool, ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival is looking for their 2021 commemorative poster artist. The annual arts show will take place on February 13-14, 2021 in downtown Abacoa.

The 2021 commemorative poster can be created using paint, photography, mixed media, digital art, drawing and printmaking. 

Artists are encouraged to integrate the ArtiGras theme of “The Love of Art” or the Palm Beach North region into their artwork.

The event, which also features an juried art exhibition, interactive exhibits, children’s activities and live music is entering its 36th year in Jupiter.

This week, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting three events for everyone to attend.

Twilight Yoga at The Light: Monday, August 24th and Monday, August 31st

Tonight, and next Monday, the Lighthouse is hosting their weekly Twilight Yoga at the Light event. Come and enjoy the serenity of Yoga on the Lighthouse Deck and watch the sunset over the water.  All levels are yoga are welcomed to attend the class. The class is $10 dollars per person and registration is required online due to the popularity of the class and class limit. Attendees are asked to bring their own yoga mat and water bottle and meet 10 minutes prior to the class start time at the Museum.
