On April 17, Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-91, which closed all Florida Wildlife Commission maintained boat ramps, marinas and other public access points to the public, as well as State Parks.  State, county and local boat ramps are opening in more locations.

There are restrictive launching procedures at boat ramps and the number of people aboard. Launch boats one at a time.  Boaters also cannot anchor within 50 feet of another boat.  Single riders only for jet skis, paddleboards, kayaks…

Because Coronavirus can be spread easily, countless Palm Beach County residents have resorted to wearing face masks to protect themselves.  The virus is transmissible through human contact and exposure to respiratory droplets from an infected person.  When an infected person coughs or sneezes, they force out respiratory droplets into the air. They can also spread those droplets around if they touch their eyes and nose then touch another person or surface. Meet these infectious drops and you could get sick.

There is data that face masks can slow the spread of airborne viruses. For example, one study from 2008 found that those who used a mask were 80% less likely to get the flu. Additionally, a 2009 report observed that wearing face masks and…

The 35th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, but not in the way Palm Beach residents are used to.

Gov. Ron DeSantis agreed to allow Palm Beach County restaurants and retailers to reopen in a limited capacity starting this Monday, the 11th. The move puts the Palm Beaches on the “phase 1” track along with most of the other counties. Miami-Dade and Broward counties will remain closed.

“I think Palm Beach is incredibly important for our state,” DeSantis said earlier today. “It’s not like flipping a switch ... but we’ll be able to get people back to work.”

The governor’s decision to let the Palm Beach County split from Broward and Miami-Dade counties came a day after county commissioners formally asked him to lift restrictions that are shackling the local economy.

Like restaurants and retailers in 64 other counties, those in Palm Beach County…
