Come celebrate the Loggerhead Marinelife Center at the annual Beach Bash Palm Beach hosted by the Lilly Pulitzer team and is known as the social event of the season.

The event takes place at The Beach Club in Palm Beach, Thursday, December 28th at 8 pm.

The beach bash benefits the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, the ocean and sea turtle conservation hub that helps save endangered and injured seas turtles and helps with efforts to preserve the ocean.

The theme for this year’s event is “Seas The Day”, due to the Spanish ship, Providencia, that ran aground off the Palm Beach coast in 1878. The ship has 20,000 coconuts onboard, and for several weeks many people on the island ate the coconuts and drank wine.

Skip I-95 traffic and take a plane ride overlooking the gorgeous Florida coast instead. Fly the Whale, a small commercial airline featuring small plane charter flights, is opening up a new service taking customers from Fort Pierce to Tallahassee and soon to the Bahamas. 

Starting January 8th, Fly the Whale will debut flights from the Treasure Coast International Airport on St. Lucie Boulevard. The live music venue, Tin Roof, is coming to Delray Beach. Tin Roof is a Nashville-based bar and restaurant chain centered around live music. It will be opening on Atlantic Avenue and have 3,500 square feet of indoor space and 3,000 square feet of outdoor space, with the largest patio on the Avenue. 

Bob Franklin, Tin Roof's chief executive, says he was attracted to Delray's lively downtown and is very excited for the venue to open. Though it is based out of Nashville, don't expect the Delray location to play exclusively country music. Each location is tailored to the area's local music scene. Mounts Botanical Gardens in West Palm Beach has a new exhibit called Washed Ashore: Arts to Save the Seas. 

The exhibit features 10 sea creature sculptures made entirely from debris collected from the beach. The purpose is to graphically illustrate the tragic plastic pollution problem in our oceans and waterways. The hope is to encourage conservation and inspire better habits.

Located throughout 14 acres of beautiful gardens, the sculptures influence environmental conservation and sustainability.

The exhibition is free for members of the Mounts Botanical Gardens. For non-member adults it is $15, for veterans and seniors it is $10. For children 4-12 it is $5 and children 3 and under is free.

Gather the entire family for a night of fun and holiday cheer to participate in the 3rd Annual Jupiter Jingle Jog. The 1.5-mile run and/or walk is along the Riverwalk and around Harbourside Place in Jupiter.

The event takes place Saturday, December 16th at 5:30 pm. During your walk or run, holiday attire is highly encouraged to bring the holiday spirit.

Winterfest Wellington is back tomorrow, this year featuring Vanilla Ice! The event takes place at the Wellington Amphitheater from 6- 10 p.m. This is the eighth year the town has put the festival on, but Wellington Chamber of Commerce director, Michela Green, says this is going to be their best year yet!
