The nonprofit organization Ali’s Alliance celebrated a second successful Casino Night at Abacoa in Jupiter to raise funds for its mission of maintaining an organized, online database of cancer organizations for patients in need of services and support.

The exciting event took place in the elegant golf club, one of the many amenities within the large swath of Jupiter real estate. Games included black jack, craps and tables of roulette, and there also was a nice buffet and entertainment.

David Cowan, founder of Ali’s Alliance, said the event kicked off the “Four Corners Ride,” in which Cowan will steer his motorcycle to the four corners of the United States to raise awareness of the cause.

The popular Tequesta sandbar was the sunny site of the wildly attended Conch Bar Jam that saw more than 1,000 boating enthusiasts converge on the patch of land in the middle of the Intracoastal Waterway.

The Tequesta sandbar, from which beautiful views of homes for sale on Jupiter Island can be had, is near Jupiter Pointe Marina and south of the private enclave of Rolling Hills. Live music by Big Vince and the Phat Cats, a Pontiki boat shuttle for passengers and fresh food were among the offerings, as well as paddleboard and kayak rentals.

Proceeds from the event went to Bluewater Babes, a local charitable organization raising funds for cancer organizations Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope and Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper.

The fifth-annual “You Go Girl” trade show for charity took place at Frenchman’s Reserve in Palm Beach Gardens (below) and featured more than 50 exhibitors who offered everything from massages and health screenings, to snacks and tea tasting.

Live music was provided by Gyorgy Lakatos (above), and a raffle and a silent auction helped raise funds for the Ella Millbank Foshay Cancer Treatment Center at Jupiter Medical Center. Staff members at the country club were accommodating and supportive of the event, as were the residents and owners of Frenchman’s Reserve real estate, many of whom attended the event.

Photographs and paintings made by Admiral’s Cove residents graced the walls of the Eissey Campus Theatre in Palm Beach Gardens this Spring as part of the Admiral’s Cove Art Exhibition.

The wide-ranging pieces of art, which include oil, acrylic, watercolor, sculpture and stained glass, all were created by the hands of homeowners. Gary Bard, a glass artist who produced the showcase, said the talent that thrives within the Admiral’s Cove real estate is astounding.

“We are always amazed at the talent in our community,” Bard said. “It seems to be better each year. Who knows, there may be a new Picasso in the group.”
