If you like to play dress-up with your pooch, or you just enjoy seeing how creative other dogs moms and dads in Palm Beach can be, CityPlace has the event for you.

 

On October 28th, show up ready to be overwhelmed with cuteness, or enter your pet in the Howl-O-Ween pet costume contest at CityPlace in Downtown West Palm Beach. Registration begins at 11am, and you must be registered by 11:45am in order to participate in the contest at noon.

 

There is a minimum $5 donation per pet, and four lucky finalists will win prizes.

Don’t have a dog??? Meet adorable adoptable pets from Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League from 11am-3pm, and NAME YOUR OWN ADOPTION FEES!

There will also be a pet photographer, music, games, and more.

On November 10th, Westchester Country Club in Boynton Beach will be hosting the 9th Annual Golf “Fore” Paws to benefit the Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue.

The rescue’s mission is to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats from becoming victims to shelter euthanasia, while educating the public on the importance of adoption and spay and neuter in the community. Every animal rescued is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, tested, provided medical care, and placed in a foster home.

To date, the Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue has saved more than 8,000 dogs and cats from being euthanized, has performed over 1,200 surgeries, plus over 6,000 spays and neuters.

The charity golf tournament takes place on November 10th from 10:30am until 7:30pm…

If you’re planning to bring your furry friend with you when cruising to the Bahamas, you’ll need a permit. You can request an application by the way of snail mail below, but most people choose the expedited process by calling 242-325-7502/9 or faxing 242-325-3960. A fee of $10 is required with your application, which can be downloaded HERE.

Your pet must be older than 6 months of age, have required vaccinations, and have a certificate of health from your veterinarian.

Yes, you read that correctly- on November 25th, Furry Friends Adoption Clinic & Ranch invites you to hang 20 with your furry best friend at Carlin Park in Jupiter at the Surf Dog Classic and Holiday Beach Bash.

This is a free event open to the public, but donations and sponsorships are welcome! The event features a “Bark and Brunch”, a dog bikini contest, a blessing of the animals, a vendor village, and of course- the main event will be the dog surf competition 8:30 – 11:00am.

After the competition, “Paws and Pizza” will ensure, as well as a steel drum band, pet photos with surfin’ Santa, and a kids zone with face painting.

The Crafted Keg is a popular brew pub in downtown Stuart that has cool vibes, live music, an upstairs lounge and outdoor seating with games like corn hole and checkers. It's a pretty fun spot to hang with friends and drink some cold crisp beer on tap, especially on the third Sunday of the month when it's "Sips for seniors." 

"Sips for seniors" is dubbed so because pints are half-priced with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Treasure Coast Humane Society's senior adoption program. The Countdown 2 Zero (C2Z) pet adoption event at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach is the county's largest event of its kind. More than 22 rescues will be there with over 1,000 homeless puppies, dogs, cats and kittens, rabbits and more. 

The 5th annual adoption gathering is happening on Saturday, September 8th from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. It's hosted by Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League and Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control and sponsored by the Lois Pope Life Foundation. Last year, 273 pets found a new home and organizers are hoping to help even more abandoned pets find a family this year.
