Jupiter’s Downtown Abacoa area is preparing for two nights of events this weekend with open air dining and food trucks.

This month, the popular Food Truck Invasion takes over Town Center Drive tomorrow night, Friday, August 13th for a night of great food from some of the best local food trucks in South Florida. Food Trucks offer a variety of dining options for even the pickiest eater in the family. Some of the menu items include pastries and ice cream, burgers, seafood, Mexican food, specialty dishes, and much more.

The Food Trucks will be lined up along Town Center Drive beginning at 5:30 pm to 10 pm tomorrow night.

The Town of Jupiter and the Jupiter Police Department are preparing for their annual National Night Out event and parade tonight. The event is aimed to bring awareness to crime and drug abuse prevention, generate support and participation in local crime efforts, and to support our local police, fire fighters and emergency workers.

Gather your friends and family and head out to see over 30 police vehicles, fire trucks, and more take part in the parade around town beginning at 6 pm tonight. Vehicles during the parade will be giving away goodies and treats along the parade route.

Beginning on Thursday, July 15th, the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is hosting three baseball games this weekend. The local stadium is home to two Minor League Baseball Teams, The Palm Beach Cardinals and The Jupiter Hammerheads. On Saturday mornings throughout the summer, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a Self-Guided Beach Clean Up for locals and visitors to help keep our beautiful beaches clean for the sea turtles and other marine life.

Now more than ever, the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center need your help. Beginning in March through the end of October is Sea Turtle Nesting Season, where thousands of sea turtles lay their nests on the beach in our area. Northern Palm Beach County is one of the most popular sea turtle nesting spots in the world, the main reason is the gulf stream current that bends towards Florida. During this time, the center monitors the beaches daily for new sea turtle nests.
