The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is open and ready for visitors. Every Monday throughout the month of August, the Lighthouse is hosting their Twilight Yoga at the Light series.

Twilight Yoga at the Light is an outdoor yoga class held at the Lighthouse Deck at sunset every Monday night. All levels of Yoga are welcomed, and all are encouraged to attend. The class is limited to 20 people and registration is required online prior to the class.

The class is taught by yoga instructor Mary Veal. If you plan on attending, you are asked to bring your own yoga mat and water bottle, and all those who attend must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

The wait is over, baseball is back. The Major League Baseball’s 2020 Season is having its Opening Day this Thursday, July 23rd.

For Opening Day baseball fans get to see the 2019 World Series Champions Washington Nationals host the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. The remaining MLB teams will also start the 2020 Season this Thursday.  

The Washington Nationals come to Palm Beach County every year for their Spring Training games at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. The Florida State Park is located five miles north of Jupiter in Martin County between Tequesta and Hobe Sound. Jonathan Dickinson State Park got is name after a Quaker merchant named Jonathan Dickinson who wreaked his boat off the coast in 1696.

This summer, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is bringing back their popular nighttime Turtle Walks. Tuesday through Saturday nights during the month of July, visitors will get an up-close opportunity to see sea turtle nests and observe sea turtles.

The nighttime Turtle Walks begin with an informative presentation of sea turtles and their nesting habits during the after-hours program. Those who attend will also get a chance to visit the current sea turtles housed at the sea turtle hospital and research and rehabilitation center. Once the informative session and tour is over, members of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff guide guests down to the beach to observe the sea turtle nests.

This year, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is celebrating a milestone. This July, the lighthouse is celebrating its 160th Anniversary.

Head to the Lighthouse for a milestone celebration and be one of the 160 visitors to help celebrate. Registration is now open online for you to join in on the fun. Tickets are required due to limited space and are on a first come, first serve basis, and tickets are offered during hourly timed-blocks.

The Lighthouse celebration will be held this Friday, July 10th. During the celebrations, visits can spend the day touring the lighthouse grounds, climb to the top of the iconic lighthouse, visit the lighthouse giftshop and explore the Keeper’s Workshop exhibit.
