The Chabad of West Palm Beach is presenting its annual “Chanukah Family Festival” this Wednesday, December 5. Admissions are free and the event begins at 4:30.

The City of West Palm Beach is happy to celebrate its Jewish residents at the beginning of Hanukkah which stated on December 2 and lasts until December 10.

Hanukkah (aka Chanukah or Ḥanukah) is a Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire. Hanukkah is observed for eight nights and days. The festival is observed by lighting the candles of a candelabrum with nine branches, called a Hanukkah menorah. This weekend, the Jupiter-Tequesta Rotary Club is hosting the Juno Beach Craft Festival.

This will be the 17th year for this popular event, and gives residents and visitors a chance to stroll along the ocean while browsing local art of all kinds. Admission is free, and the show will be set up along A1A in Juno Beach.

In a few weeks, pirates and mermaids will be taking over Boynton Beach for a haunted festival in true South Florida fashion. Pirates, mermaids, and other mythical creatures flood the streets for a day filled with family fun and entertainment.

Take a glance at the sky this Sunday afternoon for an incredible sight above Miami Beach. A colorful display of kites will fly high at the 23rd Annual Kitetober Fest.

This will be the largest kiting event to happen in Florida. Hundreds of different kites will go up in the air at Haulover Park from 12pm – 5pm. A 100-foot flying squid, a 30-foot flying scuba diver, a 30-foot flying Nemo fish and a 300 square foot parafoil will share the sky with an array of vibrant kites!
