This Friday night, the Hobe Sound Chow Down Food Truck event starts again for the season. The fun and popular food truck event is the fourth Friday of every month until the end of April.

Gather your friends and neighbors and head to J.V. Reed Park in Hobe Sound for a night of great food and fun. The Chow Down Food Truck event has been previously on the corner on SE Bridge Road and SE Dixie Highway but this year the event moved to J.V. Reed Park on Se Athena Avenue for more space.

For two days, Boynton Beach transforms into the ultimate Haunted Pirate Fest and Mermaid Splash. All are invited to attend the event this Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th.

The fun filled event will feature pirate re-enactments, mermaids, street performers, character appearances from Captain Jack, live mermaid tanks, and live music and entertainment. The popular event is free and open to the public.

There will also be a Hook and Tails Costume Contest for the best pirate and best mermaid costumes, acrobats, interactive pirate ships, children’s shows, treasure hunts and much more.

Grab your ghouls, goblins, princesses and superheroes and bring them to beautiful Historic Downtown Stuart for the FREE Family Fun Fest, presented by Stuart Main Street Downtown Business Association.

Kids can trick-or-treat at the different merchants in Downtown Stuart and then participate in the 21st annual Hobgoblin Parade. On the last Friday of each month, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium allows visitors and guests to attend their popular Nights At The Museum event.

The fun filled night is for the whole family and includes extended hours to explore and wonder through the Science Center and Aquarium. Each month is a different theme and since Halloween is at the end of the month, this Friday’s theme is Spooky Science.

The night will include a Liquid Nitrogen Live Science Show, haunted miniature golf and trail, Superhero and Villain Trivia, Dry Ice Boo Bubbles, Oozing Pumpkin demonstrations, challenges, crafts, entertainment, exhibits, and much more. It’s almost that time again for the parade of kids dressed up in the array of costumes looking for candy.If you are passing out goodies, be on the lookout for blue pumpkins or bags this year. This signifies that they are on the Autism spectrum.

 In 2018 the CDC determined that approximately 1 in 59 children is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or ASD. An estimated one-third of people with autism are non-verbal. 31% of children with ASD have an IQ less than 70, and 25% are in the borderline range of 71-85.  Nearly two-thirds of children with autism between the ages of 6 and 15 have been bullied.

Mark your calendars and head out to the Kooky Halloween bash at the Jupiter Community Center on Friday, October 25th.

The event is for all Jupiter residents and you are invited to dress up in your Halloween costumes for a night of fun. There will be plenty of fun activities for you to enjoy. Baseball season might be over in South Florida, but the Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter is hosting an event on Saturday, October 19th.

Head to Jupiter for the 5th Annual Charity Softball Game and Kids Fest 2019. The stadium along with many sponsors will host a charity softball game for the Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities.

Along with the game, there will be plenty of family fun filled activities, games, food, petting zoo area, face painting, bounce houses, raffles, autograph signing, entertainment and much more.

Come and enjoy the serenity of Yoga on the Beach while listening to the sounds of the ocean’s waves.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting a Deep Blue Yoga class on Saturday, October 19th following their Beach Clean Up. The yoga event is designed for all levels of yoga and all are encouraged to attend.

The Yoga class begins at 10 am and goes until 10:45 am and is free to attend. Donations are appreciated and will be donated and used towards the sea turtle conservation and awareness.
