Dessert foodies can rejoice! Proper Ice Cream Shop, a gourmet ice cream concept, has just opened a location in Boca Raton. Proper can be found at the park Place Plaza. The ice cream shop offers flavors such as Sicilian pistachio with caramelized figs, blood orange sorbet, key lime pie tart, fresh pear gelato with burnt sugar and many more.

As many artisan crafts begin, proper ice cream started in the home kitchen of owner Rick Felberbaum.  After making several trips to Italy and other “big foodie” capitals such as New York, San Francisco and Chicago left him missing such incredible textures and flavors. So, he began experimenting to recreate the delectable encounters he experienced.

Let us talk turtles! Although verbal communication is less evident among sea turtles compared to freshwater turtles and tortoises. Sea turtles have existed for more than 120 million years.  In 1999, researchers definitively recorded sounds from sea turtles.  This was the first time we learned that turtles talk (okay, communicate).  Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach wants to introduce humans to the way sea turtles communicate.

Learn the basics of sea turtles and the way they speak! Sea turtles start making their first sound before they hatch. Plan for the 4th on Flagler in West Palm Beach.   Great news! The fireworks are returning in-person this year after the pandemic forced it to be held virtually in 2020.  West Palm Beach officials announced that “4th on Flagler" celebration will take place on Sunday, July 4, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. along the Downtown West Palm Beach waterfront.  Fireworks can be seen on Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Fern Street.

The event will feature exciting and vibrant fireworks display, entertainment, refreshments, a car show featuring luxury vehicles, and a patriotic salute.

The fireworks will blast off at 9:09 p.m. over the Intracoastal Waterway.
