Here are some interesting facts about Pumpkins.

Pumpkins are fruits, not vegetables. Fruits are considered to be the part of the plant that has seeds on the inside. By this definition, a pumpkin is a fruit and a member of the gourd family. The gourd family includes other fruits like winter squash and watermelon.

This Halloween season, The Gardens Mall is transforming its Grand Court into the Batty Manor Halloween House. Starting this Saturday, October 17th through Saturday, October 31st the Grand Court will be decorated for Halloween and will feature its spooky-silly haunted house.

The Batty Manor house will feature two ghosts, Mrs. Whistifer and her friend Mr. Hanks. The two will be telling Halloween riddles, jokes, songs, and much more in celebration of Halloween this October 31st.

Trinity United Methodist Church- Palm Beach Gardens

The church opened it annual pumpkin patch last Friday, October 2nd until the end of the month. Four tractor-trailers full of pumpkins was delivered recently the church and will be available for purchase along with homemade pumpkin bread, cold drinks, and carving kits. This October, the Friends of Jupiter Beach’s annual Food and Wine Festival will still go on but this year, the festival is going virtual. The festival will celebrate the non-profit organization through video presentations from local chefs and bartenders.

The Food and Wine Festival is scheduled to begin at 4 pm on Saturday, October 17th. The event will highlight some food offerings in the area while celebrating the Friends of Jupiter Beach’s mission. Some of the restaurants participating in the virtual event include Café Chardonnay, Tommy Bahama, Leftovers Café, and Copper’s Hawk.
