This Saturday, March 2nd, come out and celebrate the great, South Florida outdoors at the 23nd Annual NatureScaping: An Outdoor Festival.  The festivities start at 10 am and will take place at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park. There will be fun for the whole family including a beach clean-up, door prizes, kayaking, a kid’s activity area, native plant vendors, live music and food trucks.

The Sailfish Sprint 5K/10K is happening this Saturday, March 2nd in Stuart. This course takes you through some historic parts of the City of Stuart. This is the official race of the Marathon of the Treasure Coast Weekend Challenge. The race begins promptly at 7:00am.

The race will begin and end at Memorial Park in Downtown Stuart. A great place to run with friends and family and PR. There will be awesome medals for all finishers, a souvenir race tech shirt and age group awards.

The 2019 Giro Di Zeppoli Bike Tour is happening this weekend, so strap on your helmet and get ready! 25 or 50 mile routes offer something for every rider level. The 25 mile route is for the beginner or those that wish to take it easy along the way. The 50 mile route is a bit more up-tempo and offers a quick paced ride for the athlete at heart.

Both courses cover the same ground as the tour takes riders along A1A with views of the Atlantic Ocean and mansions on Jupiter Island. From there the 25 mile riders turn around at Jupiter Island Town Hall and make their way back to the start. The 50 mile riders continue north along Gomez, Dixie Hwy, to Kiwanis Park in Stuart for the turnaround.

Three Palm Beach golf courses have been ranked among The Golf Range Association of America’s top 50 best golf courses.

The John Prince Golf Learning Center and the Park Ridge Golf Course, both in Lake Worth, and the Okeeheelee Golf Course in West Palm Beach have been ranked as among the best practice ranges for the past several years.

The John Prince Golf Learning Center was recognized as one of the Top 50 “Stand-Alone” Ranges, which marked the seventh straight year the GRAA has honored the facility with the award after naming it the “Best New Range in the United States” in 2007.

The Okeeheelee and Park Ridge courses were each recognized as Top 50 “Public” Ranges for the third straight year.

The Palm Beach Marine Flea Market will be coming to the South Florida Fair Grounds this Saturday and Sunday. It’s the perfect event for anglers of all types. The event will feature rods, reels, lures and lines, boating apparel, nautical decor and jewelry, taxidermy, diving equipment, antique collectibles and maps, marine artifacts and much more.

One of the highlights of this year’s event is their Boat Showcase area new and used boats will be on display and for sale from local dealers.

Palm Beach Paddlefest is a family-friendly event happening this Saturday, February 9th, from 9AM to 3PM at Harbourside Place. The event will feature two timed races with trophies and cash prizes for top finishers, a free kid’s SUP race with participation medals, free kayak eco-tours, yoga, exhibitor expo, music, face painting and more. The Sunset Bike Ride at Jonathan Dickinson State Park is an easy ride on paved flat trails, it’s perfect for those looking to do something fun and relatively easy outdoors.

The Sunset Bike Ride will go a distance of about 10-12 miles at a 8-10 mph pace. For half of the ride you will be on trails with no cars. For the other half you will ride the main road where there may be a few cars and the speed limit is 25 mph. Sunset 603 pm. You will then watch the sunset from the top of Hobe Mountain Tower.

Bring helmet, lights, water, insect repellant.

 The Honda Classic 5K is a recreational run around the cart paths of the back nine of The Champion course at PGA National Resort & Spa. The run takes place on January 19th at 7:30 a.m. So if you haven’t been preparing, you better start now!

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Place of Hope charity which provides family-style foster care and other services for children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and neglect, will team with The Honda Classic and Honda Classic Cares on the race which has become one of the favorite recreational running events of the year in Palm Beach County.
