If going to a sweat-filled gym doesn't sound appealing to you, try Workout Wednesdays at CityPlace for a fun, outdoor group activity varying from yoga to Zumba.

Every last Wednesday of the month, CityPlace hosts a free workout on the plaza featuring different workouts taught by certified trainers from L.A. Fitness and Fitness Hub.

If you've never participated in a group class, this is a good way to try it out before you pay money somewhere else.

Workouts are from 6-7 p.m. Wear workout clothes, bring some water and a yoga mat. Invite your friends and hang around CityPlace afterward- most stores are open until 10 and the restaurants and bars are open late.
